I received excellent service! Paul replaced my tire and repaired my throttle, which was sticking. The price was reasonable and he turned the job around quicker than he originally stated. I will definitely use him again.

I do all of my own work on our bikes, as well as I have a small business and work on other customer's bikes. I only go to a shop usually just to get tires mounted. In this case, I recently bought $2500 rims for my wife's Suzuki M109r. The shop I have been using for many years, up in Frederick, raised their prices are were inconsistent on what they would charge. So before I went up, I called Iron Works and got Paul on the phone. He told me no problem, but I would need to drop them off and pick them up the next day. I asked why, and his response was exactly why I decided to use him. He didn't want to rush on a set of rims like this with a customer waiting. Since I work on bikes and have people wanting to wait, I get it and it was the perfect answer. I wasn't up for getting the rims scratched so figured it was best to let him do it when he wasn't busy. The rims were done on time the next day and I inspected them very close and not a scratch to be found. In addition, his attention to detail was spot on as the rear rim must go a set way due to the hub/shaft on the bike. Paul not only knew to make the front rim match in that direction, but he also pointed out to me that the manufacturer had put the 90 degree valve stem on the rear facing a different way than the front. Since these are directional tires, it would have been very easy to mount the tires with both valve stems on the same size and then the front rim would have been backwards. I will be going back here in the future, and any bikes that I don't want to work on, I will refer over as well.

Kept the shop open 2 hours later so I could drop my bike off! It was probably two weeks or more that I called Iron Works to get pricing on putting two new tires on my Road Star. I must have called three different times trying to coordinate for a Saturday morning drop off. Each time Paul answered, he was informative and patient as I worked hard to get my bike to his shop. With seemingly all options exhausted, Paul said he’d be happy to keep his shop open if I could get there before 7pm. He stayed two hours past closing time so I could finally drop off my bike! He was as nice in person as he was on the phone, patiently listening to my droning on about my first motorcycle, a 1970s CB450 4 cylinder! I haven’t got the final bill and I haven’t seen his handiwork yet, but I’m confident that I will be using Iron Works for all of my motorcycle repairs and tune ups in the future!

Well...my brand new Suzuki GSXR-1000R is no longer so new. Seems this shop took my motorcycle for a joy ride (did you enjoy it, "Will"?). Dropped it off after just filling up with gas at a gas station right down the street. Picked it up and a full 1/3 of the tank was gone! That's about 30 miles of fun someone had on my motorcycle. "Will" didn't even bother to fill back up with gas(?). I should have raised concern when i dropped it off and wasn't offered any 'receipt' of dropoff. I dislike writing negative things like this, as the owner seems like a nice guy, but please beware...
