Island Creamery

We wanted some ice cream after dinner, so we chose this place. I knew we had chosen well, when we entered and got in line. There were seven or eight people ahead of us. There were possibly 20 flavors of hard packed ice cream to choose from. I ordered a small bowl of rum raisin. My wife ordered absolutely nuts. I couldn't believe the size of our bowls. 4 to 5 inches in diameter and maybe 2 inches deep, packed and mounded with ice cream. My rum raisin was outstanding. My wife says the absolutely nuts tasted like it had a rum base and was loaded 4 or 5 types of nuts. It was awesome. I have never rated a place one star, and rarely a five. For me, a 1 star rating means, I'm calling the health department, while a five star rating means, I looking for property to buy so I can be near this place. I haven't started looking yet, but that is how good this place is. Don't miss it.

Such a great place. Unheard of ice cream flavors, creative and original. Have taken the 9 of us there twice but have had their birthday cake too. AND it didn't break the bank! Will definitely be the place to take grand children every time we get to visit!

If you go during peak times in the summer season there will probably be a pretty big line, but the service is quick so the wait shouldn't be too long. They have very nice and unique ice cream flavors and the servers were happy to answer any questions we had about them without looking at us like we were dumb tourists (which we are). You can order a single "scoop" with two flavors which will be plenty for most people.

Ooh, yumm!!! A local gave us two pieces of advice. 1. The (long) line moves quickly. 2. It is worth the wait. If you like ice cream (and who doesn't?), don't miss this place!

I loved it the first time. This was my second visit and it was even better. May I suggest looking over the entire selection and then sampling before ordering. The waffle cone are freshly made and are light and delicious.
