JD Kennels

I was VERY disappointed in the condition my two dogs came back after just one night of stay. Insect bit marks around their flanks, itching, and the bottoms of their paws are raw from the artificial (plastic) astro turf they have in the outside common play area. They both have been limping from the paw damage, still one week later. Also, I brought them portioned food to be fed and, because of the runs they had, think they may have been fed another dog food. We notice, when we went back to the kennel area, here are a LOT of dogs being boarded there and their “kennels” are actually cinder block and concrete. While they do have access though a doggie door to the common play area, again, it’s astro turf and likely don’t have access outside much. While the staff appears friendly and such, there is no way I am taking my dogs back there. The pix on their web site are very deceiving, not what I observed.

Excellent! Have been bringing our dogs here for years. Unfortunately we have lost 4 of those dogs due to old age. Good news our 10 month old puppy loves the experience too! All our dogs get so excited once they arrive they forget about my husband and I immediately and are ready to play with other dogs. Highly recommend!

Best place ever! I always take my dog here for a bath, or nails. The people here are friendly and really great with the animals they take care of. Highly recommend this place for boarding or a day visit or any pet service.

I strongly suggest you pass on JD kennels. We used JD Kennels for our Labrador, but upon his return he was stricken with a mystery illness and horrible rash. He had never had this rash before and has not had it since. After weeks of treatment they refused to apologize or acknowledge the horrible infect our dog had. Upon asking about paying for our dogs medical bills they asked us to read our contract... essentially the contract you're signing says they have no responsibility for the proper care of your dog. This is clearly evident. I do urge you to read your contract and rip it up go to to another company.

I've had my dog for over a year. She was 2 year old rescue who had a lot of fears and defenses. This was her first time to socialize in a large environment. The staff did an excellent job of easing her into socializing with other dogs. I was so pleased when I picked her up after four days at the kennels. She walked up to another dog in the office and sniffed, something she never would have done prior to her visit. Thank you for loving her as much as I do. JD Kennels will always be her special dog vacay destination.
