JL Beers

This is THE favorite place to eat! My wife and I travel around the state quite a bit and eat out more than we should. The gold standard to measure against is JL Beers in Bismarck. I love that they're a North Dakota-based company. I love the vast variety of beer on tap and I make a point of trying something different each time we visit. Their burgers are just absolutely fantastic, too. The atmosphere is also appreciated: it's a small space, but not cramped, and there aren't annoying sports bar-style TVs blaring. The outdoor patio space in back is my favorite, especially after a hot summer day to just sit in the shade with friends and sample a flight of local microbrews. Only negative might be that parking downtown can be tricky, but I'll gladly drive laps around the block in anticipation of what awaits inside JL Beers. I've yet to discover a better place to eat and drink with good friends.

This venue is definitely a great spot for friend food and copious amounts of beer. They have arguably the best peanut butter i have had the pleasure of consuming. It's homemade right in front of you even! I was skeptical but it is phenomenal on a burger too! Beer flights and hand cut friends fresh for each order. This joint is a fine place to occupy for any occasion.

I really love JL Beers! They have such a remarkable variety of beers for any beer drinker's taste. They offer sampler flights of beer so you can taste 5 at a time & figure out your favorites. And their hamburgers are the best with wonderfully soft fresh buns. My favorite is the "Not just a nutter" burger with their homemade peanut butter on it. It is SO good!

Tasty food. Great atmosphere. My wife and I love to come here together whether for lunch or a date. They have really tasty root beer as well! Can't go wrong on your choice of burger. The chips are hard to beat as well, especially with the extra spices. I'd recommend this place to anyone looking for a fun atmosphere and good food!

This place was awesome! I had the Humpty Dumpty and added bacon. Very good burger. Very friendly staff and welcoming environment. I will definitely come back.
