Yes, I take my daughter here to shop with her and help pick out fabrics when she makes blankets for presents for her friends and family. I think it's amazing that still exists in today's youth and I enjoy receiving a gift blanket from her more than anything "store bought" but maybe that's just me. I know their prices are good because one thing I've taught all my kids is never pay retail!! Joann's has good sales and she always has a coupon to save more. I used to paint with acrylic paints as a teen so I wander over to their art supplies section that's very well stocked with the premium paints as well as low cost hobby paint. The store and entire mall are just beginning to show signs of age but honestly I view that as the business is watching their rent and operating costs to ensure their prices are competitive and keep customers coming in rather than shop online. The ladies that cut the fabric are random, some are happy and smiling while others are just grumpy and miserable, but that's their issue and doesn't ruin my day with their crankiness.

I went knowing the type of fabric I needed for a project with just a little swatch of it. I know little about fabric. My daughter picked out a cute fabric for one side and we showed an employee the fabric I wanted and she found us a perfect complimentary color in the fabric we were looking for. It was a great experience and with a coupon it was a great price!

Dear Jo-Ann's,My wife just had the worst customer service experience in your Grapevine, TX location with the manager, Chris B. So I thought I would tell you the story.Background: My wife is a second grade teacher who loves Jesus and one of the nicest, most caring people that I know.She had purchased some items and realized half way home that the cashier had charged her for an item that she did not purchase. So she turned around with a toddler to come back to the store and get it refunded. When she got back to the store, she spoke with the manager who was checking people out (there was about 15 people in line). She quickly told him the situation and asked if someone could fix the problem so that she could get our son home since it was the cashiers fault. Manager: "There were a lot of people ahead of you so you need to get to the back of the line." (In rude tone)My Wife: "Can't you see what I am saying, you guys messed up and I shouldn't have to wait, especially with a toddler." Manager: "No, I don't see what you are saying." (In a rude tone) My Wife: "You are being very rude." Manager: "You are the one being rude, trying to bully your way to the front of the line."After he finally checked her out, she was signing the receipt and he said, "You can't even sign it right." So she called and left a complaint with corporate. Then I called to ask him to apologize to my wife.Manager: "She wouldn't get to the back of the line."Me: "I don't care, you are the manager and you work in customer service. You need to have professionalism."Manager: "Maybe I could have handled it better, I tend to get testy with people that are rude to me first."Me: "Are you kidding me? You can't talk to people like that. I don't know how long you have been managing that store, but you certainly have a lot to learn."Manager: "Are you done?"Please do something about this. If you need more to the story, please get in touch with me and I can give you my wife's information. If he is like this with a nice person, think of how he will treat your customers during the holidays. P.S. I still think my wife deserves an apology.
UPDATE: To "Amanda." You are obviously an employee, maybe even the jerk manager that caused all of this. So, please, remove your fake review so that the rest of the world can see the true reputation of this location.

Staff was not friendly and didn't want to be helpful.
I had an item that didn't have a price on it. After tracking down a few different employees trying to find a price, I talked to a store manager. It was a returned item, with no tags, and it wasn't in "new" condition. I had a project in mind to repurpose the items, but I don't think she was interested in selling them. She said they weren't on sale with other like items and gave me a price that seemed unreasonable for "in perfect condition" merchandise. I chose to leave it at the store.

Great selection of fabrics and craft items. They offer servicing for Husqvarna sewing machines as well. Public restroom is clean. The employees are friendly and will usually help you get all of the applicable coupons and discounts.
