Love this place. Love the team. LOVE the warranties and diamond replacement plans. My wife goes hard and even pieces from other jewelers have gotten loose stones and the Kays team finds it and fixes it! Not to mention every visit to the mall my wife gets her jewelry cleaned and inspected for free!

Went in to size my finger for a ring and was told I am a size 6.5. When the lady sized me the 6.5 was tight and wasn't going anywhere. My boyfriend ordered me a size 6.5 ring and when it came i thought it was huge on my finger. It can about fall off of my finger. It is nowhere near the same size as when I was sized in the store. Yes, I know your finger changes sizes when it is hot and cold. I have worn this ring for a month now and it never has fit the same way as when I was sized. I went in to talk about resizing and the lady in front of me had a horror story with her resizing. She had a matching necklace and ring and had the ring resized, when she got the ring back the gem was different. It didn't match the necklace anymore. After hearing that I was not about to send my ring in. I was told my ring measures at a 6 1/4, but that cannot be right because the 6.5 barely fit when I was sized. Also, my coworker is a size 7.5 and the ring fits her perfectly, so i'm not sure how that works. Would not recommend shopping here, and would never go back.

If you're looking to meet a fake, smiley, unhappy jeweler, the Bismarck Kay Jewelers has just the lady for you. I suppose if you've never owned any type of jewelry you should probably avoid this place entirely. And with a free service of ring sizing, you may want to skip asking. Yes, it is offered there, however, it's a huge pain apparently to offer the service and see no profit handed over. What a shame, to have to perform a simple, quick duty for your job, and not be rewarded with monetary compensation. Maybe I should have asked if they offered friendly customer service at the start. Hindsight is 20/20.

I purchased a ring in Rapid city, SD. With a full lifetime insurance policy. The ring was soldered to fit my finger, my ring then broke right in half. I brought it in to kay jewelers in bismarck, they informed me they would order a brand new ring and swap out my old one. As I had full insurance. The ring broke in late July, they said about a month for the new ring to come. I went in the end of August and the tracking number said the ring was in the store, but the employees could not find it. They then said it was missing. So they ordered yet another ring. I was informed it would be here in the very beginning of October. I called and talked to very rude and uninformed employees, and all they would do is apoligize. It's now November and I just got the new ring, and guess what, the wrong size, and now it has to be sent off again. One of the male employees tried to tell me that I had to spend $90 for insurance that was already paid for on the original ring, that's lifetime insurance, I shouldn't have to pay for it again. Thankfully, the manager didn't make me pay. Once again, I'm waiting for a ring. There is only a few employees in that store who are actually helpful, the manager is awesome, but when you have very rude stafd, it ruins the whole experience. I will never purchase any jewelry there, due to very rude staff, especially the young man, who would not even say his name.
