Kingston Center

I can't afford to continue replacing my mother's lost clothing so I'm forced to take her laundry home to wash. Her dentures were recently lost during the third shift. Her hearing aids were destroyed. Her pocketbook was taken from her room in broad daylight as she napped. Worst of all their medical staff ignored our pleas to administer a urine test and blood panel when we observed an abrupt change in Mom's behavior. They wouldn't authorize any tests or treatment for an infection because they said the "protocol" requires three or more symptoms before treatment can be administered. More than a week later she had blood in her urine and they did nothing until it became obvious and she became unresponsive. All the while they wrote off her change in behavior saying "...she has a history of dementia". Anyone in the healthcare profession with half a brain knows that dementia-like symptoms often accompany an oncoming infection in the elderly. As a result, Mom ended up in the hospital intensive care unit, unresponsive for a week near death. This facility ought to be shut down. BTW, the administrator at Kingston Center did offer to place Mom in another facility but only because I'm a trouble-maker. Thankfully, I found her a safe haven in a reputable facility without any help. Why would I trust them?

Kingston Center should be shut down! They ignore patients calls for help, make them wait to go to the bathroom. They are not clean, my mother's room stunk of feces and urine, room was very cluttered. They removed her trach tube prematurely and didn't clean it properly! She contracted pneumonia and urinary tract infection there. When her blood pressure dangerously dropped to a low level, they waited 3 HOURS before calling an ambulance!! Now she is in another hospital in icu with a new trach! DON'T TAKE YOUR LOVED ONES HERE!
