Personally never had an issue with this post office. The hours may seem slightly strict but they staff was always there when they were open. The different staff members have never been rude, some unaccommodating, but never rude. Always able to mail what I needed including other peoples mail that was sent to the wrong address. I think the reviews for this place may be retrospective of the staff of the past but the current state of affairs reflects differently.
For service I give it 5 stars. Frank always is busting his hump. However the location could really use some updates. A kiosk and how about some po boxes that are 200 years old? My turn dial has not worked for almost a month. For the facility I would give it 0 stars.
Zero stars is more appropriate. The brazen disregard towards customers would be funny if I didn't attempt to use their services. That's right, I said attempt. They open at 10:30, according to the sign, most days it's well past then. Today, someone strolled in at 10:45 and mentioned that they wouldn't be able to open for "at least" another 15 minutes. The last time they couldn't sell me a stamp. And there's no machine. A complete waste of time and space.
I would rate this Zero 0 Stars, if the option were the available. The post office hours are fickle at best. The posted hours of operation are subject to change on the daily bases, daily. This is unacceptable and unprofessional that the USPS office serving military members is not available when we can take a break from our mission to handle necessary business. Additionally, the post office boxes are the most expensive in the area $108/year and due to the horrible hours, I can not pick up packages delivered to my expensive mailbox. After hour bins are available, but not used. Inefficient and ineffective service.
This is the second time they have lost a certified letter. I tracked the last one down. Although I received a tracking number and a receipt the letter was never logged in at the post office and no record exist of it leaving the post office. How can this be? They may be destroying mail to lighten their work load.
Should be zero stars. Terribly lazy staff. Posted hours are ignored; the last three times I've attempted to drop something off, they have been closed in the middle of posted open hours 10:30a-1:55p, 3:00p-4:30p. I've approached the building to see staff lock up an hour before posted lunch time, then hang out in their car for 20 minutes before driving off; I returned 40 minutes after posted lunch hour to find they'd either not returned yet, or already closed up again still during posted hours.
Hours are sporadic - the time they take lunch could vary so better to arrive at opening to ensure someone is available. Lunch is usually 155 pm to 3 pm
I personally never had an issue with the staff, but the place needs to be updated. I don't believe it's changes since 1954. Also they need more employees and not be closed for lunch.
Will not accept general delivery for military members once while passing through. You are on a military base! If something doesn’t work anymore you get replaced by something that does.
They don't read the address and can't deliver the to the VA spinal cord injury center in Albuquerque because they keep going to the gate that's closed instead of the one that's plainly printed on the ADDRESS!!!!
