I’ve never had a positive experience at Labcorp but this was the worst location I’ve ever been to. I went to drop off my samples after having to do 48 hours of collection and to get some blood work. They informed me they couldn’t take the samples because they hadn’t been refrigeratedno one told me to and the instructions on the container didn’t specify either. Because they wouldn’t take the samples they said they couldn’t take the blood work either. I begged them to and they finally agreed but then told me it would be ~ $500 which I knew wasn’t correct since I met my deductible and max. At this point I was already in tears and shaking because my blood sugar was low and I was being checked for some pretty serious health concerns. I needed this done so I gave up and decided to just pay. When I tried to give my card over through the slot my hand twitchedtremors from the condition and it fell on the floor. The receptionist lost her mind and started screaming at me, brought my samples back out put them on the floor and told me she wouldn’t see me. I sat in the lobby crying and she threatened to call security. Finally another person came out and decided to do my blood work but it was too late. All my labs need to be redone. I wasted multiple days collecting this and putting my life on hold and still have no answers because Labcorp is incompetent and rude.
I had a blood draw today at the Labcorp on 1919 N. Loop and it was hands down the best experience. I scheduled my appointment in advance and it was easy to check in using the kiosk. Inly 3 other patients were in the waiting room. I waited for less than 5 minutes. My veins have always been hard to locate so I’m usually anxious. But my phlebotomist was a pro. She personable and had enough confidence about getting a vein for both of us. This was the fastest, most comfortable blood draw ever. I had zero time to get anxious. Thank you kind lady at Labcorp.
Showed up at 4PM. Their hours say 4:30. Door was locked. Tried calling, no answer. Several others showed up with the same confusion. Unacceptable for a laboratory that provides time sensitive services. Edit: Go to the West 20th location instead. Ladies are far nicer, more accommodating. This location apparently is notorious for locking up early or being short staffed.
Front desk staff is deficient in customer service skills and I believe treated me differently based on my skin color. As a healthcare provider myself, I’m shocked that individuals can act this way towards patients. Avoid this location. The Heights Location on 20th is great w/ the nicest staff and minimal waits.
I got there yesterday at 11:45 for a lab test. The two girls that were there, they were busy in their phones and told me, they couldn’t do my test , because was time for lunch, so if I want, I have to come back later. Of course, I didn’t and went to Quest, cross the hallway and they took me, without issues. Labcorp should close, or get new employees……
I just left this location of Labcorp after having bloodwork done. I have been going to this Labcorp location for many years. I have lab work done here least twice a year if not more on occasion. I have NEVER had a bad experience with the staff. They have always been the best. Always friendly, and proficient at their jobs. 99.9% of the time I don't even feel the needle stick. They are always interested, talkative and friendly as I mentioned. I DEFINATELY RECOMMEND USING THIS LOCATION OF LABCORP!!!!
Parking lot doesn’t have enough disabled parking spaces in the back of the building close to the office itself. I can’t do stairs or park too far and walk for too long. Also, I have to have more room to get my walker out of the car and the handicapped spaces don’t have enough room. I was first sent to the location across the highway, only to be told that they didn’t have everything they needed even though I had called first to make sure. Front desk staff were rude and I was then sent to this location and was finally serviced. Staff at this location were much nicer.
I wish I could give it 0 stars. Went here and the lady at the front desk seemed like she just did not want to be bothered with anyone. She was looking for excuses to give everyone. Although my insurance was already in the system & I had a copy of the card on my app, she was already telling me oh no if you don’t have a physical card, we can’t help you. She also tried to charge me $91 when I went to a different location down the street it was $17. She also would not allow me to forward my lab orders from my email when another location did. It was basically like she was telling you how she could not help you before even knowing what you needed.
I was apprehensive to come here after having a bad experience a few years ago, but I can honestly say my visit this time was a 5 star one from start to finish. The waiting room was busy, yet the wait was very short; Felesia was an absolute ANGEL- she very skillfully and quickly drew my sample with all the cheer and smiles you would expect from someone who loves their job and loves interacting with people. Keep up the great work, y’all! Thanks again for the very quick and painless experience!
Loved my super-fast, extremely efficient experience at LabCorp at this location. It's not exactly a calm drive getting there, as there is some hectic traffic on Loop 610, and people drive like escaped zoo animals. But - the location of it inside the building is fairly convenient -- first floor. The doors and numbering of each are not very intuitive - there aren't huge signs or indications of which business is where. In fact, the building has a menu by the elevator of all the businesses inside, with suite #'s, but no map or reference points. Ergo, it's best to get there a few minutes early to not be rushed and freaking out @ being late, etc. Once inside the office, they have COVID-friendly portals where you check in, but in my case, the receptionist just helped me. She is also the Blood Taker! Miss Stephanie - very sweet lady, on a mission to get you out. She wasted no time in getting my blood drawn and it was as painless as the tap dance of a pixie. The ease of setting an appointment was also a positive aspect; some of the other LC locations seem more booked up. You will book online, and it's such a simple form, it's actually gratifying - sort of like popping bubble wrap. If you are in the building and need a snack- because, who doesn't?- you can check out the little cafe that has ice cream and other essentials, like Animal Crackers. They are hiring, btw - you can thank me later! Parking is easy - be careful going into the lot, as it's narrow and nearly a wreck waiting to happen if anyone else is exiting...for example, a big black suburban, with the license plate D-P... oof - thanks to LabCorp for their efficiency and getting me in/out in less than 7 minutes. <3
