A pleasant experience if you are there at the right times. Early morning, afternoons and dusk are good times. Fall/Winter with cool/cold weather you are bound to see some wildlife. Even on warm Fall/Winter days its nice. I recommend you call the Bosque Del Apache and get a bird count for the day before going. It's a shorter drive from ABQ vs going all the way to Bosque Del Apache.
