I visited the Wild Spirit Wolf Sanctuary in May 2018 while on a road trip and absolutely loved it! The tour was very thorough and left a lot of room for open conversation. We got the background story on every animal we saw and it was very eye-opening to see not only the results of the pet wolf industry, but also the challenges faced by rescues like Wild Spirit in giving these animals the lives they deserve. My absolute favorite part was spending the night at the campground listening to their beautiful chorus! What a magical experience! Absolutely a highlight of my trip! Please go support Wild Spirit in the good they are doing for these animals and for the world.

Wonderful and interestingly educational up close look at some beautiful wolves, dingos, singing dogs, wolf dogs, & maybe even a fox. These canines are full of personality and curiosity, often getting within two feet of you. Lots of extra opportunities to either feed or walk a wolf, look up those encounters for an added fee (make you reservations for those at least a few weeks in advance). The tour guides not only know a great deal about wild canines, they also know these beautiful animals personally! We had Ramone & he was awesome! Made us feel like we knew the residents too! It takes a while to get there, but it is worth the trip to this unassuming little place. Don't let the appearance of the property fool you--it is a non-profit after all, but what they lack in polished appearance, they more than make up for in getting to see and know their amazing wolves & other canines! This was our second trip here. I would never come to this part of New Mexico without a visit!

To hear the wolves sing is an experience you will never forget. They are doing some great things there for the wolves And other rare species. There is a fee for the tour. You can no longer roam around on your own. The staff are extremely knowledgeable and are excited about working there. The wolves, wolf dogs and more ate amazing creatures and it was an honor to see these Noble creatures.

If you've ever wanted to get in touch with some of the wild inside you, this may be a place to do it. They are always welcoming, the wolves seems to set up howling several times a day just for fun, and it's set in a real middle-of-nowhere locale. Make reservations to stay ahead of time with the sanctuary, unless you are day tripping it; there's no motel here. If you are brave, pay for an individual wolf meet n greet. They are just so energizing and fascinating up close, and all the money goes to the sanctuary bills. No shareholders or board to satisfy here, just conservation.

They are doing good work. They have tent and rv camping. No services with rv camping (so no hydro or water hookup) But there is a shower hut. Also a bonfire and bbq area. No Internet. But best part! Is listening to the howling. Can go on for hours.
