The trail was closed due to fire danger, but I was able to view the garden path and the house. It was well worth visiting for those aspects alone. The grounds are well-kept, and the volunteers were very helpful and friendly. I will definitely make a repeat visit once the fire issue is resolved.

Great quick little hike. You have to find a spot in the woods and sit still, let the birds come to you. If you walk the whole time you’ll scare most of them off and not see much. For more privacy, real forest, and increased critters, take the side trail.

Has always been one of my favorite places to hike in sf. My toddlers also enjoy it!

Friendly, conveniently located, Trail is short but beautiful. Not heavy traffic. Would’ve opted to do the tour of the house, but husband didn’t want to.

Learned many new birds (for me, a beginner) on the weekly Saturday walk. Also enjoyed the trails past giant Ponderosa pines.
