Larry's Ice Cream & Gelatos

My goodness where do I start? If you are in this area, you should go to no other desert place in town. Larry’s customer service was top notch, just super friendly. The prices were actually pretty well in line with a solid ice cream shop. The fact they had a ton of varieties of crazy ice creams from Milky Way, Snickers, and garbage can plus your regulars and gelato and crepes and donuts and more more more more. My banana split was out of this world amazing. Just wow. So good!!!

As a previous employee of Larry’s I’d like to just leave a review of the behind the scenes at this establishment. Yes it is a family owned business that has been successful over the years, but only because they rely completely on their employees who they consistently belittle, talk badly about and treat with zero respect. I only worked there for a little over a month and I started to develop anxiety because everyday there was a new “issue”. The family is very successful however very rude and stingy. The employees try there hardest here but the scheduling is done very poorly and then the bosses expect you to sign your soul to them and have no personal life. As if your purpose is to serve them. They have several extremely rude and immature managers who talk to customers with no respect (eye rolling, whispering about customers, attitudes) they talk loudly about personal lives and issues that should not be brought to work. The managers husband actually shoved a previous employee and called another white trash, shall I go on?? This is a very toxic environment. The place was built on great intentions and over the years has clearly gotten into the wrong hands. The food they serve is all microwaved and there is plenty on false advertising going on They also lie about where and who makes there ice cream. After I tried to leave on peaceful terms they took it upon themselves to interfere with my personal life. This place is only surviving because of the placement on gulf blvd and the fact that ice cream sells itself. I do not recommend this place to anyone who cares about human morals because they lack ninety percent of them.

The ice cream is phenomenal. If there is a line outside the door join in, it is very worth the wait. The staff is efficient and kind. And sometimes they hand out free donut samples. So so good

10/10 experience. Came here with my girlfriend later at night; we walked into a medium line (with good reason! Great ice cream) and spent maybe ten minutes milling around to look at the different ice cream and donuts. I was overwhelmed with how many flavors there were, and one of the employees made sure to come over to get our orders- very attentive. I asked him for recommendations and he listed a few off. Amazing service, the employees here really care :) And the ice cream is tops. Had apple strudel and banana cream pie, while my girlfriend had a double-scoop of praline. That and six donuts was less than $23. Can't think of a better ice cream establishment. Amazing people, great product, and the best service.

I walked in - and immediately felt like I was in an old-fashioned ice cream shop. Only they have mini donuts and special (beer) floats!!! I felt like I was in heaven. Staff was amazing- they were SO patient with my kids and me. Even though they were crowded, they took the time to help make sure that my kids were settled. The ice cream flavors are delicious. I was so overwhelmed with the choices (there were so many!!!) that I stuck with the fan favorite (mint chocolate chip!)- totally exceeded expectations. And the best part- I went to the beach after- and still fit into my bathing suit. :)
