I just moved in here not too long ago. Process was extremely easy besides moving all my stuff up to the fourth floor lol. I recommend fourth floor because I have had no pests and I really haven’t heard anyone at all, I feel super isolated which I like. The problem with the last place I was at was with my neighbors, and it feels here like I won’t have any problems. Maybe there are worse sections but where I am located is great. The inside of my building looks pretty new and my apartment is brand new. It was just renovated, which I highly recommend getting as well. Sierra has been great through the whole process. I pick up a lot of the trash every few days around the area, I don’t mind helping out, but I hope people can start cleaning up after themselves or others can contribute with me. That’s really the only negative in my opinion. I’m hoping people eventually get the memo; that’s usually how it goes when you keep picking it up, which I will do. I do understand though because it’s in Philadelphia. There was a lot of dog poop everywhere, but they just redid the outside with mulch and everything it looks so good! So now hopefully people will take them on walks and clean up after their dogs so it stays looking beautiful. Great location too that’s another thing. Nature all around you, some is overgrown but I sort of like that look honestly, and is also great for the environment! beautiful houses, a bunch of parks, trails, and great areas & small businesses nearby. 2 miles from Mt. Airy, 2 miles from Manayunk, 20 mins tops from Center City. I’m a positive person as well so that adds in, but still... try to be that way my people! Feels like a hotel which I agree with the other person who said that. Doesn’t deserve the bad ratings. I can see they are trying. They also added another power generator so there should be no more power issues! Not perfect, but people will always find something to be mad at. Just how some people are. I think its totally worth the price. Pet friendly too!Parking: worst case you have to walk a block… no biggie in my opinion… get some steps in!
Been here less than 6 months and this is by far THE worst place I’ve ever lived. Mice through out the building. Power goes out EVERY week, fire alarm goes off randomly every month. This is the supposed. “Gym” the building has big holes in the ceilings. Every month they “clean” the hallways with a dirty mop that leaves the whole place stink. I could go on for days… Do yourself a favor and google this place before you ever think to move in.
This is the worst apartment I ever lived at! We had a power outage numerous times in the last 5 months. No communication from management about resolving the issue. Maintenance takes forever to fix any maintenance request. Stairways stay dirty and it stinks. Tenants leave trash and clothing anywhere in the building and management take more than 6 months to clean it. I have mice issues thanks to the building. Hot/cold water work on opposite sides. My cold water don’t work in the kitchen. I have mold under my bathroom sink and it been there since I moved in. The price of living here is not worth the stress. If I had it my way this apartment wouldn’t get any stars!
I have lived here just over a month and in that time there has been power issues twice. The first power loss was for a week and to ensure that they did not have to extend our hotel stay for one extra night, we were left without power and heat till nearly midnight. The next power failure happened a week later and through all this communications from management has been minimal. Maintenance is a joke, since I came to the building some power outlets in my apartment have not been working and one of my windows does not close properly and I have reported the issue. From what I have heard from other tenants I will be waiting a very long time. Mold is also a problem, mine is in the cabinet under my bathroom sink but some apartments have mold all over the roof and even mushroom growing from the roof. The bathroom has a slow drain because the drain attached to the tub is small. The studio unit does not have shelves or rods to organize your cloth so you will have to sort it out yourself. The only good thing for me is that I have spend a month and only have 11 months left before I can leave. Only take this apartment if you are truly out of options otherwise run very far.
unfortunately i was unable to tour this property because the agent failed to show up to our scheduled tour. agent tried to say he didn't have me in for 4:30, so i sent him the email where he originally set up the tour for 4:30 the week prior. he asked me to change to 5pm but I scheduled multiple tours around my appointment time since I'm from out-of-state. honestly the disorganization put a bad taste in my mouth and I think I'm better off looking elsewhere for management that values my time.
2nd time in 2 years residents have been without power and heat in the winter for an extended period of time. Building has 249 listed violations with L&I. Consistently fails inspections and have a contact number that goes to a full voice mail. The "dog park" is a literal dump for renovation materials. It's 5AM and the fire trucks still have their emergency lights going.
This is without a doubt the worst apartment to live in in germantown. I have lived here for 6 years and have seen 5 different owners/management come in, and with every one it gets worse and worse. There is a terrible rodent problem and there is no security and I have had 2 incidents of unknown people turning my door nob at night to attempting to break in. Thank God I am finally moving out and will never look back. I say gut the whole building and start over.
I currently stay here. And I been here going on 4yrs. For 3 of the 4 years I've been here the property managers have been no help when problems arise. There's been at least 5 different managers since I lived here. The heat in some of the buildings doest work at all, and they've been saying that the boiler is the issue going on 3years in 2022. I've seen heroine users work as electrical maintenance workers for doing renovations in the building, they've hired security for no reason and built new outside gates in less than a month but can't fix the heating issue for years. The last 2 property managers gave out space heaters and now the power goes out during the winter because of the capability of their circuit board. We receive last chance notifications and letters about our utility services but nothing has been done to fix the basic resources we need to survive as people. Parking sucks in an entire 4 block radius. No elevators, so it's a struggle moving in and bringing groceries home. This place is not worth the money they're charging.
I lived here for under a year. This place hardly qualifies as shelter and should be condemned. There were leaking holes in my ceiling and floor the entire time and the office will outright ignore you- unless you owe them a single cent- then they will be blow up your phone with threats of fees.
I have recurring issues of black mold growing through my bathroom ceiling. Literally, Nobody cares. Most recent case is that for 2 months I’ve notified them of the mold, and all they did was spray the area once, never removing the infected piece which continues to spread. Toilet is cracked from a faulty install. Nobody answers the phone. There is no system for maintenance requests.
