Lichee Gardens Monroe

I'll admit I've only had 2 dishes here and sweet and sour chicken is my absolute favorite, but if you like Chinese food you will love it, I'm sure! The owners are super nice. Sometimes they are busy for the 2 of them, it's only ever 2 of them there. But you won't regret stopping in.

Everything but the white rice was terrible. The egg rolls tasted like dirt. They were fried to perfection but as one reviewer stated it tastes like they were fried in oil that needed to be changed a long time ago. While I give the crab ragoon points for being made with real cream cheese, it was extremely bland. It had no inkling of a crab taste. The pepper steak and general tso chicken were both made with high quality meat but the sauces were terrible. The pepper steak was very bland and watery. The general tso chicken sauce was extremely gelatinous and tasted like it was only seasoned with red pepper flakes. Even the fortune cookie was stale.

I've always felt well-taken care of when I eat here. The food is great, the hot tea is excellent (unlike most other restaurants I've been to recently), and the prices are very reasonable. Favorite place in town.
