MOD Pizza

Stopped by Mod Pizza today after driving by many times, the line was a bit long, but it was still a quick trip through. Many different choices of pizza ideas on the menu board to choose from or create your own.. I choose the later.. the staff all seemed very helpful and always asked if I wanted more of the toppings I had chosen.. no skimping here! Loved the finishing sauces. I tried the balsamic fig sauce, on one half and the Mike's hot honey on the other, at least I think it was Mike's sorry if it's a different name lol both were VERY good! Fortunately it's on my way to work! Definitely going into my lunch rotation

I used to come here often because the pizza is great and it reminds me of the kind of pizza I could buy in New York. However I have a larger concern. The staff here needs to review or be retrained when it comes to washing their hands. I've seen people come from the back room and put on gloves to start making food without washing their hands. If your hands are dirty when you touch those gloves, the gloves are not contaminated and then so is the food. There was an incident months ago (the last time I went until a few days ago) where the cashier had finished ringing an order and went to put my pizza in the oven and she actually touched it with her bare hands. Money is filthy and she didn't wash her hands before handling the food. I reported all this to a manager last week after a Visit last week where I had to instruct one of the servers to wash his hands before putting on the gloves. When I called told the manager they seemed very concerning I was a told that they were going to handle the situation. However a few days after that call I walked into the restaurant and before I even got to the front to make my order I saw one of the servers put a pizza in the oven with his bare hands, wipe his nose, and then grab another pizza and put that in the oven. I shall not be returning to this establishment.

Love the idea of MOD. You get to design your own pizza and toppings don't cost extra. They also have a large list of good ones to choose from. Then it's cooked in a brick oven.

A great place to grab a very good pizza fast with about every topping you could ever want to put on a pizza 😊
