We attended the annual taste test for wedding menu item selection. Very comfortable atmosphere and down to earth hosts. Choosri Sixbey, the cake vendor was especially sweet!

3 simple words: BEST. WEDDING. EVER. We could not have been happier with this wedding venue. Bonnie and Mike treat you like family during your stay and really helped our big day go as smoothly as possible. The venue itself is GORGEOUS. I can’t tell you how many of my guests asked me how I found such an amazing venue. THEIR REVIEWS TELL IT ALL PEOPLE! We could not have been happier with this venue. My husband and I were a little nervous having our wedding at the end of October as it is a little bit more windy along lake shafer, however, it was literally 76 degrees and sunny, literally the most perfect day ever. I think that Bonnie’s home cooked breakfast deserves mentioning too. She is a saint in the kitchen! You never go hungry around there that’s for sure!!! Another thing we loved about this venue was that several of our guest were able to stay at the venue. There are 7 suites and I believe 4 cottages that accommodate several families. All of our guest were from out of town so it was nice to have them at the venue for the entire weekend! It felt like a family reunion and a wedding all at the same time! Overall, everything went absolutely perfectly and we now have amazing memories that are going to last a lifetime! Thank you so much Bonnie and Mike for such a good experience! We will be back! Great views of the lake. The cabins are really nice and quaint. Breakfast were really good, Bonnie puts her own twist on few items and they are delicious. This was an excellent venue for a wedding.

Good location. And the rooms were okay. However the food is horrible went to waiting there over the holiday and they only allow their own catering. With exception of the fresh fruit and vegetables most of the food was so over seasoned it was inedible. Thank goodness they allowed the wedding cake to be catered in. They had a massive dessert table that most of the wedding guest gorged on because they weren't able to eat dinner.
