Love the boardwalk. It's the prettiest area to hang out in Shreveport. Huge movie theater w/comfy seating. Love choice if restaurants from high-end to a pretzel shop, and always find great gifts or clothes for the family. Check out the candy shops while you're there. And don't be afraid to park on top deck - every level is close to elevators. Did I mention hotel and casinos within walking distance?

I love going to the boardwalk and I have for years. It was a nice view of the Red River and there's a lot you can do from shopping to getting your nails done and even see a movie if you'd like. There's some pretty good food choices and there's two hotels that are super close in walking distance. It's just an overall nice place to spend your day.

What can I say we love the boardwalk.... great shopping, awesome prices, fun for the kids. We even got to visit the alligators. was very impressed that a wheelchair service was available which is really helpful when you doing want to lug your personal chair with you. Great variety or stores... something for everyone.

We enjoy going to the Boardwalk when in the Shreveport-Bossier area. This collection of shops and restaurants sits on the banks of the Red River. There are beautiful views of the river and the downtown area of Shreveport from here. There is a chocolate shop (a personal favorite) and an ice cream parlor where you can load up on sweets while watching the Grandkids ride the carousel, which, by the way, has crawfish on it...(pretty much Louisiana, huh?). Be sure you go in late fall, winter, or early spring as the humidity is a killer this time of year and all through the summer months.
