Calamari was crunch, it feels like not much calamari but crunch batter. Noodle looked so good, broth was too salty to eat. Tom Yum with sea food : enough sea food but I wondered what this restaurant identity was. It looked like Tom Yum and the ingredients were Tom Yum but taste was not like Tom Yum. Curry was better than other food that I ordered. Even curry was saltier than other Thai restaurant's. Service was okay. No welcoming vibe thou. Parking was easy. It was good to have outside tables, accept reservations, good for group meeting.
It is one of the absolute best places for seriously spicy Thai food. Normally, I am not satisfied with Thai hot food, I feel like they lower the heat for customers, but this place brings the heat and so much flavor. If you like it hot, go for the Maile Hot level, but just be warned its not for those who don't like delicious pain. At least the waitress was kind enough to confirm my order multiple times before letting me get food that a lot of people would not be able to eat. I had the papaya salad and green curry, both dishes were amazing. This is a must go place.
Decent Thai food. Good but something felt lacking. It was hard to eat the rice with the curry I ordered because the rice bowl was over filled. Nothing wrong about that but I probably should’ve asked our server for a bowl or something so it would be easier to eat. Seemed like the food was family style like most Chinese restaurants. The crepe was just okay.
Very tasty seafood! Just an incomparable Tom Yam! And if you had a party on the eve of visiting this place, then I recommend beef broth soup! He will revive you! And if you want something extra, then take a curry! You can't go wrong! I recommend it!
LOVE this restaurant! The service is always spectacular. Everyone is so great and the food is phenomenal! I could drink the chili sauce that comes with the calamari... lol! They always have fantastic Mai Tai's. I switched it up this past time and tried the spicy clams. As always, an instant hit!
Our world food tour continued at Maile’s Thai in Ward Centre. We were seated on a small table on the outside; it was a nice spot except when the food arrived. The menu is extensive and we needed a larger table for all of the dishes we ordered. We had Amy, our server, box up dishes as we ate to make space for the next course. I ordered an Uppercut cabernet sauvignon, a very inexpensive cab from Napa at $44 $17 in the store. It was fruity but needed some time to open up. Our appetizers were the beef sashimi and the Angel Wings. I asked about the Stuffed Chicken Wings but they no longer offer that “must have” dish. Alas, I meant to order the Thai Fried Chicken. The wings were wings, enough said. The beef was good; it had a very piquant soy, chili sauce. Our entrees were the Pad Ki Mao spicy basil noodles with tofu, Pad Mah Kua eggplant with pork and Kaeng Ped Daeng red curry with beef. Every dish was fine; the eggplant dish was the least successful for me … I would have preferred the eggplant to be cut in larger pieces rather than thinly sliced as presented. The best dish of the three? Spicy Basil Noodles. The restaurant was very busy and there was a line of people waiting to enter. The food was good but not exceptional. Service was good in spite of our impression that they were understaffed for the number of patrons in the restaurant. We enjoyed our visit to Maile’s Thai and the total cost before tip was very reasonable at $130.
Got green cury, calamari and white rice for $40, good for 2. Green cury is good! Not spicy tho. Calamari is basic.
Great flavorful thai food that are incredibly well-balanced. The red curry's flavor and texture is certainly better than a lot of thai places in town. I'm glad we tried this place out.
Very cool little "upstart" take on Thai food. I've had quite a bit of thai food over the years, and while you can definitely tell the food here is Thai, it manages to taste like a fresh take on some classics in a genuinely good way. The restaurant atmosphere is a bit unique here as it feels both great and a bit "shoved into" the building/cramped. It's a super minor nit, but it does take something from that "whoa" factor in terms of atmosphere.
The food is very authentic, flavors, delicious; Great service, and very good atmosphere. I highly recommend this place for an authentic Thai food experience!!Food: 5/5
