Went here for my birthday! Great place to go for really tasty drinks. Wonderful environment with knowledgeable and fun staff. I recommend the flights and try EVERYTHING! I just wished they shipped/sold in Philadelphia so I can get more!

Maine Mead Works served to reaffirm my budding conviction that mean can be a lovely, delicious, drinkable beverage. The lavender-scented one and the oak-aged one were my favourites. Thankfully, they are crisp, not syrupy, while elevating the honey aromas to bliss. Cheery, welcoming venue with kind staff who could be a bit better trained in how the mead is made.

Maine Mead Works is a must visit in Portland! They have a cheap tasting menu and all of the mead selections are wonderful. The staff is friendly. Tom is especially knowledgeable on the mead and was able to answer all of the questions I had. If you're not a fan of beer, and not a wino, there's sure to be something here for you to enjoy.

Very interesting place. I've never had mead and this was a great introduction! I recommending getting the tasting flight if you don't know what you like. It gives you all sorts of meads. The staff is also very knowledgeable and can help you find something that you like.

This place has great, friendly staff and great mead! I didn't realize I liked mead until I tried theirs. Ironic, I'm aware. I took four bottles home with me and wish I had more.
