May's Seafood Restaurant

Wide and I were passing through when we found it. I had the stuffed flounder with cream of crab soup. The soup was amazing, the flounder, well it floundered a little bit but it was good. The wife had the crab cakes, those were very good. And they were really more crab, than cake! Overall, our experience wasn't a 5 star as it was lacking. But the food was good, and fresh. It also seemed to be a local favorite as they were packed during our visit.

Didn't get my server's name. Ordered our food. My wife had fish tacos I had all you could eat fried fish. Nothing special. The fish was undercooked in her tacos and looked as bland as the taste. She didn't eat her meal. The waitres was not concerned and said sorry and left. As for my meal the biggest thing was having one peace of fish ordered at a time and waiting for it to be brought out. Not a big deal if the fish had any size to it, but the serving size was very small. I hadn't eaten there in sum time, and I don't remember the service being that bad.

Love May's! Been coming here for years and I have never been disappointed. Crabs are fresh, hush puppies are the best, and everything else is amazing! Service is great too, I was just here last week and less than 10 minutes after ordering at 3pm on a Saturday we we're eating.

The seafood platter here was intimidating in size and definitely feeds 2 people easily. But everything had a bland taste that I guess was supposed to be saved by butter sauce. It just fell short of expectations. The place is a no-frills, backyard fish fry if you're into that sort of thing. Except you'll wish you had prepared your own food and at least deveined the shrimp.

The outdoor setting was nice, warm and overrall pleasant atmosphere. The servers were very friendly. We ordered the all you can eat and was surprised by the amount of seafood we received. However, We were disappointed the flavor of the seafood. No seasoning ... just the taste of salt. We stopped eating for fear of elevated blood pressure. $160 for 2 persons, i dont think i will be returning any time soon.
