Thai Pavilion Restaurant

Deeeeeelicious! We've eaten here twice now and have been pleased! When dining in on a busy night, we had great service. When ordering over the phone, the interaction was seamless and quick. Noodles noodles and veggies veggies. Tasty seasoning. The prices are decent. We'll return again.

If rating was based on food alone, I'd give it 2 stars. I am giving an extra star for service. I've had Thai in many places. Upscale to hole in the walls like gas stations. This particular place looked nice overall, but you can't judge a book by the cover. The food was lackluster. It lacked flavor. The noodles were clumpy and maybe old. Nothing memorable in regards to the food. On the Plus side- Good Thai Ice Tea and Jasmine Tea. Excellent service!

I've had the most positive experiences with the food and service. The veggie pad Thai is highly addictive (love the rice noodles).

Man, I am so bummed. This restaurant has been our families' go-to restaurant for a very long time. Well, from when it opened years ago. We were regulars here and we have brought all our out of town guests to this place. Why did we keep coming back - the food was excellent. And the service even better. They were so great with the kids as well. Kuk was a fantastic server and so hospitable. The food here has been incredible - the green curry, penang curry, the garlic and ginger dishes, the fried rice dishes, the fish, the awesome springrolls. I could go on and on. But, I have no idea what is going on here now. Well, I know - all the staff that were here for years are gone. All of them. It is amazing how fast this turnover happened. Just in a few months. The service has dropped off significantly. I don't say that lightly - because everyone can have a bad night and I don't really base ratings on a bad night with a server or a dish. Here we got multiple orders messed up (the food was mostly the same, though even the kids noticed a difference). And the service was not up to Thai Pavilion standards. Servers not trained, and when I casually chated with the hostess about if the restaurant has new owners, she was brusque to the point of rudeness. Again, not just me but all of us felt that. She said everyone says that, but it is the same owner, just new staff. Weird. 2 stars, because I can't bear to drop it to 1 star given the numerous awesome meals we have had here.

I ordered the chicken kee mao to go, and the service was quick and friendly. I would give 4-5 stars for service. Unfortunately the food was, in the words of another reviewer, lackluster. The kee mao, generally a spicy dish, was pretty bland with only a small bit of spice from the sliced peppers. The dish wasn’t seasoned well and the chicken was a bit tough and very bland. Maybe the kitchen was having an off night or other dishes are better, but I was disappointed in my usual go-to comfort food dish. I would happily sacrifice waiting another few minutes for better quality food.
