Great solo camping adventure for my dogs and me. The trails were beautiful, everything was very easy access and well kept. The bathhouses were clean, close by and I loved that they were individual, private bathrooms! Only thing I wish I knew sooner is how close the sites are together. I'm a novice camper so not too much to compare to...but the kids next door made my final night/early morning pretty uncomfortable. Next time, I'll pick a spot where you park and "hike" to the actual tent site. That hike seems well worth the privacy it would have provided. Although the tent sites with electric and a parking spot were just a tad too close for what I wanted, they were exceptionally well maintained and made for easy set up and pack out! Would do it again and just rent two spots. ;-)

Beautiful place, lots of trails. We camped in a 32' travel trailer for 4das. Camp sites are very clean! Each camp site had it's own trash can attach to a post at the edge of every campsite with a secure fitting lid Camp workers came by each day checking to see if the bag needed to be removed and replaced with a new one. The bath house was very large and clean each shower was your own private room with the toilet and shower. As we walked our dog we looked at the tent sites they were some of the best I've ever seen even the Primitive ones would definitely stay there again.

Fantastic Nature Center and Preserve. Great for Hiking, lots of easy trails. A couple of the trails connect to Lake Wylie so you get to enjoy a scenic waterfront view. The nature center always has really great crafts and play areas for the kids and a couple of pets on display.

This is a beautiful little spot with numerous things to offer. From fishing to boating to having a nice little pinic with the family just to name a few. The scenery is sublime and it is very peaceful and relaxing. There are also many trails, a visitors center and probably even more I don't even know about. Come out and enjoy your day!

Very nice nature preserve. It contains several well kept hiking trails that interconnect, so you can easily tailor the distance you hike to your preference. Some of the trails provide access to Lake Wylie. There are several picnic areas, both picnic tables and covered areas. There is a camping area and multiple playgrounds for children as well as fishing areas. The preserve is open year round, providing an excellent opportunity to enjoy the variety of the seasons.
