The MEI tech went above and beyond to get us hooked up on are very cold and windy day. Service has been great.

They are the only unlimited high speed net available at our location and are usually pretty good. We have some issues because of our location and the trees but overall decent service. We had an issue with our service at one time and it took quite a while to figure it out and repair it but they finally did and gave us credit for the time it was out. Customer service is very friendly and try hard to please you.

Our internet through them never works at night. When they have outages or problems there’s no heads up your internet will not be working. It is very unreliable. I’m unable to get my online school work done at home because I can’t trust the connection won’t go out. This is the 4th time in a week we’ve had no internet for whatever reason.

When first moving into the area, I wasn't thrilled with having the fastest internet service available being only 17mbps download and didn't give much thought into upload speeds. It broke my heart to find out I would be paying double for that and a phone line what I did for cable service in past residences. But it was high speed internet and I've lived with the speeds. The biggest reasons to give the two star rating though: 1. The connection is atrocious. It goes out frequently. I've had technicians out to look at it and it would be fine for a few weeks and back to going in and out. Even as I'm writing this, my connection is cutting in and out making it difficult to even post this review. 2. The upload speeds kill me. I work from home frequently and attempt to use services like Google Drive and Dropbox but the upload speeds really don't work. I'd love to write a better review. These guys are providing "high speed" internet service in an area that doesn't really have it as accessibly as other areas, but it's really hard to do when you frequently are without access or are having to fight with their modem just to get online and do simple tasks. I hope that the Fiber they just laid hits market soon. If it does, and the service improves (and hopefully speeds — both upload and download — at a reasonable price too), I would definitely be happy to come back and adjust.

Normally with time, companies will upgrade their service. Not MEI. It's been over 10 years and we're getting the same slow internet as we have had since 2007! I tried downloading a game on my xbox that was 18 gigs. I'm going onto hour 4 and its not even to 50% yet. How in 2017 is their internet still this bad? I could plug my router into a rock outside and get faster speeds.
