Meridian is godsend. During the worst part of my life they picked me up and helped make me whole again. Not only is it very well kept, the amenities were spectacular. The counseling was amazing and one of the staff actually started a mindful meditation class while I was there. Not to mention all of the other men there quickly became family. All with the same mission and mindset to do what was right. Sure it's not the newest most up to date, but it's better than having to deal with the alternative. They are doing great work and provide a great service. I thank them every day.
I hade a good experience for the fact I was allowed to smoke cigarettes and have most of my belongings. Including clothes, toiletries and all the food/snacks besides glass or caffeine. Heck even bring a board game. If you want to get sober this place will help you. Honestly my only complaint is that they should put some money into recreational activities. For instance the ping pong table and the pool table are broken there is 1 DVD player so we can’t watch blue ray. It’s a great facility but needs some cash to make it awesome
Staff is useless except for a few who actually offer help and care. They are petty with their stipulations and kick people out for nothing because they're state funded and get the $ from your insurance no matter what. Makes sense to kick people out so they go back to using and they have a consistent flow of clients. Terrible facility. Literally go anywhere else.
From a detox standpoint, the drug they use is horrible, it does not make you comfortable, and will not help if your blood pressure go up while in detox. They will not treat your blood pressure, they will tell you to calm down, and often refuse to check it. was discharged with a 155/103. Total disregard. Nurses who I assume are only techs are nice but very cranky, beds are horrible, food is horrible and you get very little as you no longer go to main building to eat. Iv been to Henry Ford maplegrove, go there if you can, uncompareable just can be hard to get in quickly.
I had a great experience at Meridian health services. It is a safe and comfortable place to recover. The staff is nice and they treat you with respect and they really care about you. When I first came to meridian they immediately put me into detox so I could withdraw from my alcoholism. They monitored me for symptoms and they moved me into residential. I loved the experience and would definitely come back if I needed it. The only things I would change is the rooms, beds, and the pillows. You only get one pillow. Very uncomfortable. The TV rooms are cool. The counselors are nice. You need more room to store your belongings. Especially if you're there for 30 days. I hope they can get more money to change the place around. They need to allow less people in at one time. The facilities are clean if you have a good roommate .
They sure do make this place look nice and clean in these pictures. It's pretty disgusting and they only clean once a month. For all the money they bring in from the state and the little money they put out, you would think they could at least clean it up. But just like any other rehab, at least they are available for an addict to go and attempt to get clean and sober and that's better then nothing.
Meridian is the greatest rehabilitation center I’ve ever received any kind of treatment, it’s my favorite rehab in the state of Michigan Waterford. This place really works!! I highly recommend this place to anyone that is in need of help for any sort of an addiction! Nice place, very clean, great staff!
Best place ive been until I tried to leave like I scheduled. They made me write 5, 3000 word essays explaining why I was leaven on the day that we all agreed on in treatment.. To be fair it was a holiday so all regs were off & the part timmers were there ... They wouldn't give me my id. And I had a plane to catch... good food great medical staff . Only did detox 5 days .... weird rules no chocolate, caffeine, ect
Very solid detox and inpatient rehab facility. And I've been to a few. They will detox you comfortably, the food is good, and the program is solid. Lot's of bodies in the men's facility but they do their best. Like any of these places you're only going to get out of it what you put in to it.
Great detox and inpatient rehab facility. I have referred many clients there. The program is dependable and they will detox you comfortably. Also, the food is incredible and delicious and the living accommodations are top notch.
