Want to give a shout out to the fantastic staff that served us; super helpful and gave some great recommendations. Just outstanding food! Full of flavor & spice. Tried the Taste of Mesob, for which we were able to pick all of the meats & veggies for. It was more than enough for us to share and have for lunch the next day.
Fun experience. Came here with my husband to try a new cuisine and enjoyed our interactive lunch. The environment was clean and decorated in the restaurants Ethiopian theme. Staff was helpful in helping us decide on what to try. Everything came out correct and at a good speed. I do wish they explained what everything on our plate was just to help take the guess work out. Also, we had to Google how to properly eat with the bread. Overall had a great experience and would come back to try more Vegetarian options: Plenty of vegetarian options
I’ve been here a number of times and have never been disappointed. The staff is always so nice and the food it always so delicious. Definitely recommend stopping in if you are in the mood for a hearty meal.
If you want a truly authentic Ethiopian dining experience, Mesob is the place to go. Situated in a lively part of town, the restaurant has a vibrant atmosphere, and the food is absolutely incredible. The menu features a wide variety of traditional Ethiopian dishes, and the staff is more than happy to help you choose the perfect meal. I highly recommend the doro wat - it's an absolute must-try! Whether you're a fan of Ethiopian cuisine or you're just looking to try something new, Mesob is sure to exceed your expectations. I can't recommend it enough!
Food is amazing, and service is excellent! Bethlehem, Eden and Swaroop very helpful and patient. I'm so glad they were able to reopen after the flooding and the pandemic. We had the Sampler Platter for 2. 2 Starters, 2 Beef, 1 Lamb, 2 Chicken, 1 Seafood & 4 Veggies. Siga Sambussa, Azifa, Tibs Wat, Minchet Kay, Lega Tibs, Doro Aletcha, Doro Tibs, Shrimp Tibs, Shiro, Dinich Wat, Collard Greens, Ingudia Tibs It was chilly, so we each had a ginger tea. I didn't get to try the Kitfo, so we came back with a vegetarian friend. We started with Misir Sambussa & Siga Sambussa. They are like samosas but with different spices, so good! Berze is honey water. There is something familiar with the taste or is similar to a Chinese drink; just can't put my finger on it... Maybe it will come to me, or if someone else has a thought, please DM me, lol Kitfo is beef that is typically served raw, but I had it slightly sautéed. Amazing! I think I will be ordering this every time from now on. lol. With Ingudia Tibs and Atkilt Aletcha. Hubby had the Tilapia Tib with Dinich Wat and Azifa. Vegetarian friend got the veggie sampler Platter, which has 6 veggies. Highly recommend Mesob if you want to expand and explore different cultures and cuisines.
absolutely amazing place! if you want to try authentic Ethiopian cuisine. it was very DELICIOUS ! Great staff , great service.must try Ethiopian coffee here .
Definitely recommend reservations, especially on weekend nights. The food came out quickly, was tasty, authentic, and fresh. Price was about 30-40 per person for the meat sampler including tip. BYOB, can get wine next door.
This place has extremely delicious food, kind hospitality and a wonderful atmosphere. It was my first time visiting and I was blown away by everything. I can’t wait to come again!
The place is clean with really good food authentic Ethiopian food. I can 100% say this is the best Ethiopian restaurant in New Jersey and New York area. The Jebena Buna coffee was very good, the only thing left is Tenadam type of herb. The only con I experienced was it was noisy, that can be pro too I guess. If you go with family and kids you won't worry about disturbing others.
First time trying Ethiopian food in US. It was outstanding. Service and food both are excellent.we tried vegetarian dishes. Will be back.
