No diet or weight loss is easy, especially the older you get... The ladies at Metabolic are great and help make this weight loss journey much better! This program is one of a strict diet and supplements such as vitamins and drinks you take daily. Let's face it, if it were easy to just go work out or eat healthier to lose weight, you wouldn't be looking for other options or programs! I couldn't do it alone, even though I tried every fad diet and even joined a gym. I needed to be held accountable, which is the weekly weigh ins. I needed to be motivated and encouraged, which I get each time I sit down with one of the ladies on staff and she provides me with ideas and suggestions in order to continue being successful. They help with a lot of recipe and meal ideas, they have great suggestions to cater your specific weight loss journey! It's a great program and I'm thankful I found them to help turn my health and body condition around!

I like MRC because the program works. The one on one counseling is great because it's just you and the counselor and no one else. The counselor help you with meal plans, how to make good choices when eating out plus any other events you might be going to.

Really just a horrible company and "program" that disguises itself as helping people get healthy. From a customer perspective, they are over priced and require you to buy their products that are full of unhealthy ingredients. There is a ton of turn over in Lawrence and Topeka due to how poorly they treat their employees and I know for a fact they fired the best manager they ever had all because she was a victim of domestic violence and had to go to the hospital for her injuries. They fired her for missing work the day she was attacked.... I can not support a place that treats their staff like that. Especially when she came in and was doing so much to improve the Topeka store. She was always the one there for us and actually cared about her customers I don't think she had ever even taken a sick day in the many months I was a client. I already felt it was high priced and my dr. Didn't agree with their product ingredients but when they did that to that poor sweet girl my friends and I vowed to never give that company another dime. Shame on them! Don't support this horrid company!

My experience with the Metabolic Center was not a good one. When I had my first "introduction" visit I asked many questions and had concerns such as will this diet be super low cal? Is this diet going to be a lot of supplements? Is this diet going to require me to cook a lot or come up with my own menu? I myself don't believe in starving myself or supplements and unfortunately I can't cook worth a darn!! My concerns were then put to rest when they told me that none of these things were true about the diet at all. This was a NEW way to lose weight and I would see the weight fly off! They stated they would have meals completely planned out for me so it will be easy! You will be consuming at least 1200 calories a day, they said! So stupidly I signed the contact and paid $300. Mind you I should have seen the GIANT RED FLAG in the fine print that stated "you only have 3 days to cancel this contact." Nothing that isn't a scam has a money guarantee like that. In fact all of their products have giant "ALL SALES ARE FINAL" warnings on them. Also my next visit to start the diet was a WEEK later, way past your chance to get your money back. I had no idea what I was getting myself into. So I go back in a week and SURPRISE this diet is mostly supplements! In fact you have to drink 3 supplement drinks a day to get the greatest weight lost. These drinks are not cheap at all and gave me the jitters along with terrible stomach aches. They are $11 per box for 7 in a box. So if you have to drink 3 a day and that adds up to $33/week. (they strongly ask that you take special vitamins and pills which are also just as expensive but I refused to take them) Also they handed me a list of things I could eat, there was not menu whatsoever. After hounding the office for 4 days they finally created a menu for me but stated "well we normally don't do this" and I would have to figure it out myself. So after following their diet for 4 days I became very ill. So ill that I seriously almost called 911 one morning when I woke up because I was incredibly weak. Why was I so weak? Well after calculating the caloric value of what I was eating, their diet only had me consuming 400-500 calories a day. This is enough to send anyone into the hospital. I called the Center and was told that the manager would call me back to discuss how sick I was and how scared I was that I needed to go seek medical attention but no one called me back. This is not a healthy way to lose weight. This is not a new and exciting way to lose weight. Anyone who starves themselves can lose weight. It isn't rocket science. Save yourself the $300 contract fee and all the supplement cost if you are just going to starve yourself. This company is taking advantage of people who are needing support to lose weight. It is a scam. Please don't be stupid like I was and lose $350 just to learn this. I wish I would have been smarter.
