I had sleeve surgery May 8 2017. The process took about a year to prepare for and it was worth the wait. I am completely happy with my results. The staff was amazing, helpful and compassionate. I would not change a thing. My nurses when I was in the hospital after surgery were amazing and if I could remember their names I would shout thank you from the rafters. I would not change a thing. I was completely impressed with my physician Dr. Hamilton. No, I did not see him a lot during the process. Once at initial consult and then the day of surgery but honestly It was not necessary to see him a lot given the other things you need to do before surgery. That was fine with me. Personally, I did not have a lot of medical issues when I decided to have surgery but my family has a terrible health history after 50 and at almost 400 pounds and only 35 I did not want to risk it or my future. I am down 145 pounds and I would not change a thing about my decision to have surgery. THANK YOU Bariatric Center KC. I think you essentially saved my life. My daughters and spouse thank you as well.

ADVOCACY & COMPASSION 2ND TO NONE! I recently had my surgery after years of other programs regiments and denying me assistance. BCoKC took and made a their considerations of my case personally, when other programs denied me repeatedly. The amount of work from the beginning, upon evaluating, catching me up to a program, and working with insuring insurance coverage. January diabetic A1C lab levels were 10.1... last week’s post-op visit I am down already 20 lbs, and my latest A1C = 7.5! This was just 10-days post surgery!!! BCoKC team is AMAZING!!! So glad this team has my back as I push for a healthier future!

After complications from a surgery in Mexico and untold pain and misery, Dr. Strain performed a revision and saved my life. I was down to a precarious weight; couldn’t eat or keep down what I could eat. I’d been asked by strangers if I had cancer! Most doctors don’t want to have anything to do with postop patients from another country and claim responsibility for the patient’s care, but Dr. Strain was kind enough to take the gamble. It was a difficult road, but he was always patient and understanding. Now just trying to get well and gain some weight (and hair) back. Thank you, Dr. Strain. I can never repay you for everything you’ve done.

Best decision of my life wouldn't change a thing would do it all over again in a heart beat(special note I wouldn't recommend you doing this if you're not serious IT IS A LIFE CHANGE)

I recently had surgery with the bariatric of Kansa City.... and couldn’t have been more impressed with ALL of the staff here!!! My Surgeon was Dr. Brice Hamilton......as a nurse I was extremely impressed with his promptness to be on time and most importantly to look me in the eye and be honest with me!!! The nursing staff was top notch!!!!!! 5+ starts from me
