Mi Barrio Halal Latin Grill

I was in Charlotte with my wife and we decided to eat here as it is not the norm to have a Halal Latin/Caribbean place. We both had the chicken stew with Dominican rice. This place serves gigantic portions so if you don't have a healthy appetite be prepared to take home some if you are eating in! I am from the Caribbean and was expecting some tasty fare but was quite disappointed. The chicken stew was not flavourful at all and the rice was not what I expected- overcooked and just an odd green pea. The service left a lot to be desired also.

Absolutely delicious food. The oxtail meat fell off the bone. The Mac and cheese is cooked perfectly. The jerk chicken is seasoned just right. The service is fast... Getting you in and out quickly with a mouth watering container of food should you choose takeout. I went there for lunch and came right back for dinner.

Great restaurant (cafeteria style). Loved the Dominican flavor. Nice staff and the food price was awesome.

Wonderful experience! I had the lamb gyro and it was fantastic. It was filled with lots of meat and sauce. The staff were very friendly, and the prices are low. I wanted to try something different for lunch and am VERY glad I did. I'll be back the next time I am in town.

Soo good! Got the 4pc wings with fries just to try. They're huge wings and really fill you up. Highly recommend Second time going I ate from the buffet. Beef stew was delicious!
