Mi Cuba Cafe

Arrived during the first week they were open. Ordered in person and waited an hour for food that didn't come. After watching four people come in and get takeout, we asked what was taking so long. "Your food takes longer because it's for here." Following that ridiculous comment, they definitely forgot our order a second time. My mom then explained in a broken voice that we just wanted to leave and the owner of the restaurant patted her on the back like a dog. 15 minutes later a plate of warm rice and meat with some flash cooked frozen vegetables arrived along with a half-hearted apology and an offer of 20% off. I don't like posting negative ads, but this experience was at best humiliating. Maybe it's better now, but I don't forgive them.

Delicious food, portions that are very reasonably priced, and friendly service. Definitely adding this to my neighborhood wheelhouse of restaurants.

Small cafe but wonderful service. We really enjoyed a tasteful coffee and great conversation with the staff.

My favorite restaurant in dc. Delicious food and friendly staff. Portions are big so come hungry. The fish is excellent and so are the stuffed potatoes.

OMG trust me when I say that out of all the restaurants I went to in DC this is the best restaurant I've eaten so far. I went once with my girlfriend to look for some place where we could grab lunch and since then we've fallen in love with the place. Whenever I can I either order some takeout or go there. The place is so nice inside and very cozy and that's not all. The staff are super nice and the food is sublime. Honestly I'm not going to say more, because you have to go and try it for yourself. I'd give it ten stars if I could!
