Not so special. The food and drinks are okay. The internet was free but locked with password. Should change to an easier one, we couldn't log in after many tries because of missing a "d". The personal are nice and helpful.

Awesome Americano espresso and a pretty tasty Genoa Sandwich. The highlight of this place for me is the super clean bathrooms.

Tucked away inside a quaint, european-style courtyard, Timgad Cafe can be a little difficult to locate. All the signs pointing to it make it seem like the cafe is inside a food court which, obviously, doesn't bode well for good coffee.
Fortunately, this isn't the case.
The coffee shop is beneath the courtyard and has some nice outdoor seating, though I think it's probably shaded most of the time, so it wouldn't be great for chilly days.
The shop itself is a little small and, depending on when you go, can be a little cramped. The seating mingles with the line to order which makes the whole atmosphere a little claustrophobic and chaotic.
However, that sort of plays into the charm of this place. It has the low-keyness and simplicity of a small-town coffee shop, right in the heart of Washington D.C.
I ordered a medium roast and the genoa sandwich. The coffee was good, nothing to write home about, but the sandwich was absolutely phenomenal. Made on the spot, and to order, it came out hot just a couple minutes after we had sat down.
The people I went with said their lattes were delicious.
I'll also mention that the staff was very kind. It's the kind of people that you would expect at a coffee shop in some hipster, small town, but wonderfully refreshing in a big city.
Overall, I'd definitely recommend this place if you're looking for something off the beaten path, unique and delicious.

I can't begin to say how amazing this place is. Breakfast sandwiches, Hot chai tea, and all of their coffee is top notch. I highly recommend this coffee shop to anyone if you are in the area. If you are not in the area go to DC just for this place. A++++++++ keep doing what you guys are doing!!!

Great looking food and amazing coffee.I got the best dirty chai tea latte I have ever had here. Service was relatively quick and very friendly. They have inside and outside seating. The Timgad Cafe is small, so seating is limited in both cases.
The Timgad Cafe is located in the lower plaza of the Reagan Building. It's right next to the metro and open late enough that you can watch the crowds while avoiding the worst of the evening rush.
