Hard Rock Cafe

Worst place ever. We were seated in the bar and left there for 20 minutes. Others were seated after and around us and served but we were ignored. Staff saw and acknowledged us but never took an order. We left. -t may be convenient to Ford's Theater but unless you are a die hard Hard Rock Cafe fan go somewhere else. There are a lot of other good places just as close. Less than 1 star but that is as low as they go.

I am a huge fan of the Hard Rock Cafe and always visit when I travel. The DC location was a huge disappointment. The experience was horrible. Went with a group of 6 and we waited at the bar for a table. We ordered an appetizer while we were waiting and never received it. Once we were finally seated and our food came out one person from our group received the wrong order. Another from our group ordered a steak medium well and it came out rare. And a third person from our group couldn't eat her food because the food didn't taste good. The service was fine - the problem was the kitchen.

We had a great waiter, originally from Nigeria. Fast service, correct order, and was very attentive to making sure we constantly had drink refills and dirty dishes out of our way. While waiting to get seated had to use the restroom, that was not a good experience. I had 2 knees replaced and the use of stairs is very painful. How is that for wheel chair people? Then when I finally got down there, out of the 3 sinks only one had soap, the trash cans were over flowing. I struggled coming up the steps and told the hostess the conditions were and that they needed attended to. Unfortunately had to use the rest room again and not a thing was done to the restroom.

I'm a Hard Rock tragic and always visit wherever I go. I've been to the DC location before and it was good - it was a night with a battle of the bands. Last night was not so good. Tried a few of the cocktails - like many things in America, they were too sweet. Cauliflower buffalo wings were good and always a must try, but portion size was a little disappointing, especially for the States; looked like we got the last of their stocks!

It’s so sad to me what’s going on with Hard Rock. I regularly went to these growing up in different states. I never expected a whole lot for their food, but again I was never disappointed with it either... until I was an adult. This isn’t a trend with me as I still enjoy a lot of my childhood restaurants. The food quality isn’t there anymore. I always expected it to be commercial in a Hard Rock, but if you can’t even serve decent food then maybe you should change to the Hard Rock bar? At least then less people would expect better food and maybe be less disappointed. I feel like their menu was budgeted for inflation in the worst possible way. Inflated the heck out of those prices since my last visit.
