Capitol Cafe & Salad Bar

VERY disappointed!! TOURISTS NEED TO AVOID!! It was close to US Capital Building, so thought we'd give it a try. Not sure how the "salad bar" was charged, (pricing per oz wasn't posted?!) There were 4 of us, and 2 of us only got salads, and all 4 were from the salad bar. My son got some chicken breast for his salad that was literally inedible! Bottom line - 4 meals from the salad bar, with 3 drinks and a small container of milk.....OVER $61...??? It was crazy!

Clean spot, predictable, and fast. Great place to grab lunch during a busy day. We've used them for catering too- continental breakfast type, coffee break coffee, tea, and cookies, and lunch. They weren't expensive and everything was fresh. Not bad at all, for what it is.

Asked for a sandwich and the guy that was cleaning, with cleaning gloves on, came up to make my sandwich. Didn't change his gloves. Didn't wash his hands. He wiped the dirty gloves on his shirt and grabbed the bread and asked me what kind of meat I wanted. I declined, immediately left, and will never go back. I wonder what it's like in the back kitchen. Think about that as you're savoring your kimchi.
