Sweet Home Cafe

Absolutely fantastic food. My family enjoyed the pulled pork sandwich, fried chicken, mac’n’cheese, and catfish, and they were ALL made to perfection. Very large portions. Wish I would have taken a pic but it didn’t last long. Pricey ($85) but definitely looking forward to visiting again.

Nothing like the food they served the first few months of opening. The food was very attractive, but lacked flavor. It was four of us so we tried different items. The greens had no seasoning, the fried chicken taste like Banquet frozen dinner, the gumbo had no flavor, the cornbread was dry, the potato salad had mayo and loads of mustard with paprika, the mac and cheese is like a Kraft Velveta with melted cheddar cheese on top. The water was great though, I mean it was ice cold and I enjoyed it a lot.

Food was very good here large portions. Carrot cake was delicious. The frosting was silky smooth but the rice Krispy square whole huge was very dry needed more marshmellow.

You absolutely must treat yourself to a meal in the Sweet Home Cafe. You will be pleased with the selection as well as the taste. The prices vary from moderate on up; depending how much you eat. I had three courses including desert( banana pudding) Amazing!!! For Thanksgiving Day 2017 they sold meals for pick up if you didn't want to cook yourself.

Agree with other reviewers: Food was lukewarm, under seasoned and overpriced.
