Mi Sueño Cuban Express

The food was good, but they don’t really have patience to show what food they have. Also, there was a metal piece in my cassava side. Showed it to owner, they only showed me a foil tried to explain where it came from….but that should not showed up in food. A bit sad for this experiment.

tried this place and no ropa vieja as advertised, the man wasn’t too accommodating with the covered dishes and wouldn’t open them to show you - just says beef, pork, chicken. the rice was hard as well as the platanos, guessing they’ve been out for a while. will try to update if the next experience is better.

Stopped in randomly for tamales. The tamales were floating in water in a hot pan first and only red flag I needed. When I got the tamales , water was collecting at the bottom of the box…they were soaking wet! Once I opened them, they were extremely soggy, tamales are not supposed to be soggy like old cereal. I have had homemade tamales and these were not the equivalent. Will I give this restaurant another chance ? Probably not. I have had homemade Cuban food and this did not measure up at all.

This place is fantastic very affordable my only gripe about this restaurant is they don't have a location in Cincinnati we don't have Any Cuban restaurants in Cincinnati. I highly recommend you stop by if you were in Louisville Kentucky. The food was served kind of cafeteria style and was very fresh and very flavorful with flavors that you don't normally get see pictures of this wonderful food and Drink.

I was hoping to get a Cuban sandwich but I didn't see any. We got the beef and pork, it was very nice and tasty. I'm really looking forward to the leftovers by that I mean we ordered twice.

I went here the other day and the food was not bad, a little dry but big portions and pretty good, but the next day I woke up feeling very sick. I am pretty sure I got food poisoning from this place because of the symptoms I was having. I could not figure it out at first, but looking back, whenever I received the food it was not very warm so it makes me think the meat was not kept at the right temperature. The food also didn't look fresh, so who knows how long it had been sitting there. I would just avoid this place at all costs, I have never been so sick before from food in my life. The lady working was very sweet, but i can guarantee you that the place is not clean at all.

We walked in to order and they are in the middle of painting for remodel. They were serving food to go. We were each served our choice of rice, a meat and a side item. Generous portions. Fantastic flavor. This will become a regular stop.Food: 5/5

The food didn't look appetizing and fresh like other times. They had a sign that said SPECIAL: rice, pork guisado and one side for $7.00. when I asked for the "special" the woman said "no special, only Monday to Friday 11 am to 2 or 3 pm" but the sign didn't say that anywhere. My husband had the roast pork and it was dry and hard. It was not good at all. Disappointed because this place used to be good.

The food did not taste terrible and the plantains were good, but the chicken I got was undercooked and did not want to risk eating some of it. The chicken was most likely not cooked that day and was floating in unappetizing liquid. My biggest problem was that the food was overpriced, and it costed me $19 for 2 pieces of undercooked chicken, rice, 3 plantains, and a water, and when I said I didn't want the water she didn't know how to take it off and got charged anyways.

My 1st time here. I got the buffet everything looked old but he reassured me that it was fresh. Era Mentira Everything tasted old and dry except the white rice.
