Michigan Bankruptcy Headquarters - Oakland Base

Horrible experience with a person who does not care about you as a client. I met Joe and had him handle my bankruptcy last year. After paying him in full for my bankruptcy and having my bankruptcy discharged, Joe advises me that I have an outstanding $1400+ balance with him for time he spent working on my case. I asked Joe how this could be possible because we had never spoken about extra money or charges as I had already paid over $1500 to him for the bankruptcy. As anyone knows the lawyers always charge upfront for the bankruptcy. After he advised me of the $1400 he tried to get me to sign an agreement to make payments to him for the balance. I never agreed or was told of anything like this being added to my account. When I told Joe I did not agree he advised me he would just sue me for it. Now after a year and rebuilding my credit, Joe is suing me for this money I do not owe him. Now I have hired an Attourney to deal with this. I should have really went with a reputable lawyer. Please beware and do your research.
