Missouri Hick Barbeque

Fun BBQ roadhouse. Excellent BBQ. We had the sliders with a choice of 5 types of sauce. The sliders were one of brisket, one of pulled pork and one of chicken. Great German potato salad and coleslaw. Waitress was excellent and very helpful. No rolling eyes!

Honestly the best BBQ around. Meat portion sizes are second to none. You definitely get your money's worth@ this family operated joint. The log building is a work of art by itself with cool old time relics all over the walls and knock and cranny. The staff has always been nice and very hospitable, make you feel right at home. My favorite is the brisket.

Beef brisket- All chopped, some burned pieces, dry but w/a good flavor B Sausage sampler- Large and juicy, best one was the spicy B+ Baked potatoes on both plates- Total fail, overcooked, cool and the ends were cut off as though the potatoes were too big and they were trying to save money. Cucumber salad-A+ Pork ribs- A+ Surprisingly moist, tasty and meaty Side salad-Limp, dried out, tasted as though it had been sitting in the fridge, pre-assembled so it could go out quickly. Bread pudding- F+ It was the 'special' dessert for the day so I had great expectations. It had a good taste, good vanilla sauce but it was ICE COLD. We took an order to go and didn't notice until we were in the car and on our way home. My husband wanted to take a bite...yikes! I have NEVER had a cold bread pudding dessert. Pure laziness, not even room temp. ~ Cool place, decorated in typical over the top country. Big restaurant with barn doors that look like they separate the different rooms, only 2 restrooms for the ladies. We were greeted quickly when we entered, it was about 3pm in the afternoon. Our order came very quickly, which always makes me wonder. I ordered the mixed platter, double beef brisket, pork ribs, cucumber salad and a baked potato. My husband had a mixed sausage plate with 3 delicious, big, fat sausages, He also had a loaded baked potato and a side salad. Was it good enough to return? Probably not.

Have never had a bad meal. Always great food and service. Well worth going a little off the highway to get there.

It's a nice little family bbq joint out in the middle of nowhere. The service is always great and the food is good. I give it 4 stars because the sides are kind of generic. There isn't anything special or unique about them, sides are an important part of a meal.
