We had a late Saturday night post Thanksgiving day dinner celebration. Loved the old school New York City vibe in the dining room. The servers were polite, accommodating and attentive. The food was classic dishes prepared well. We had the crab cakes, truffle pasta and chicken parmigiana
Went with family and friends and we decided to try a lot of the apps, entrees and desserts. They were all wonderful, everyone in our party had high praise for the food but my favorites were the prime rib french dip and the lemon meringue pie. Loved the whole ambiance of the place also, the color scheme, the murals and the monkey light fixtures that I understand are originals. Overall everyone had a great time!
The ambiance felt cozy, friendly, and homey from the cold! The food was absolutely delicious as well as the drinks. The steak frites were perfectly medium rare, flavorful, and portioned. We started with the crab cakes that were deliciously light and filled with crab. You’ve got to check this spot out and don’t forget dessert! The chocolate pie was decadent and silky.
My husband and I came for our anniversary before heading to another dinner. The staff were beyond accommodating from the moment we walked in. Our server was a pro, gave us the right recommendations for a quick in and out visit. The burger was amazing and drinks are on point. We will come back again for the full experience!
Amazing burger! Get the crab Rangoon if you’d like a little appetizer. Great vibes with murals in every wall and large plush booths. Highly recommend the pickled onion martini!
Great ambiance with dark wood tones, like a combination of a speak easy and a steakhouse. We went without a reservation, got a place in the bar, and around an hour later were seated. The service was great, tmattentive but not overbearing. Every plate we had was amazing. The steak tartare was the star of the night. Second by the truffle burger. The cocktails were great. Price is on the higher side, but it's worth it. Dessert was just okay, nothing special in the key lime pie. Overall, it was a great experience.
Went on a Friday at around 6:30, did not get seated until around 9pm. This place gets packed really fast. But it was definitely worth the wait. The food was AMAZING!Food: 5/5
We love this restaurant group in Chicago so sought it out while visiting nyc. We didn’t haven’t reservations but arrived when they opened and got a spot at the bar. Had great convo and environment with everyone at the bar. Put our name in and got a great terrible after about 1.5 hours. Food is SO GOOD!! Worth the wait and hype.
Solid midtown restaurant with decent food and a great old school atmosphere. The food and service are not quite 4Charles but definitely still worth checking out if you’re in midtown.
Excellent food, outstanding drinks, top notch atmosphere, a must go among NYC staples!
