I was here for the annual highland games. The parking seemed fine. Entrance was easy to find. I spent most of my time in the arena. Compared to some of our game locations the arena was plush. As always the weather was overcast but opened up into bright sunshine later in the day.

It was awesome experience. . But prices are crazy and make it imposible for many people enjoy these events. . Other than that I hope to afford it next time.

The events held here are always exciting! From the annual county fair to the free meals at holidays there is something for everyone at the fairgrounds. You can be sure if the event you have found is held at the Monterey Fairgrounds, it is an event that you will certainly enjoy.

Good area, lots of rest rooms, a little old but good size for large crowds. The only downside is the parking. Not a whole lot of parking @ all.

nice grounds ..off track horse betting year round, go through main entrance,not the one by monterey pines..lots of events year round..such as farmers markets, music festivals (some famous),jewelry /gem shows, psychic fair (ROTA), and lots more, near downtown monterey,about 1 mile, beach access (a really nice quiet beach)1/4 mile, airport 1/2 mile...
