We had a great experience here! We took our Oreck vacuum in for yearly maintenance only to discover that a previous store had took some short-cuts during previous maintenance. They were super knowledgeable and able to get everything fixed up as good as new. It's always so refreshing to do business with professionals who take great pride in their work. We'll definitely be back.
I would like to preface this review with the fact that that is still an ongoing issue; however, I do not believe at this point this Oreck store or Oreck Corporate could recover from this episode in my eyes. I will edit this review with updates. We have a 3 year cleaning contract for one of our non-Oreck sweepers through this store. In the past the cleaning and service has been great. A few weeks ago we dropped our sweeper off to have the annual cleaning done, which typically takes about five days. When I picked up the sweeper it looked great. I did not take the sweeper out of the back of our SUV for a few days. About 24 hours after picking up the sweeper I notice a very foul odor in our SUV. I actually thought one of the kids threw up in the car at one point. A couple days later I opened the back of the SUV to take the sweeper out and that was when the smell really hit me. This was coming from the sweeper that was just cleaned. I called the Oreck store and they said to bring it back in. When I took the sweeper back into the store, they inspected it and determined that the main filter had been put back into the sweeper/filter compartment wet, which was causing the horrible odor. The employee at the counter also told me that he "doubted the smell would ever come out of the plastic". Then another employee came out of the back and they had a similar discussion about the sweeper. The employee then said he needed to get "creative" about getting the sweeper replaced. I replied well if you are going to get creative we only use this particular sweeper for stairs and a few carpeted bedrooms upstairs. Being a business owner I assumed he was going to replace the sweeper being as they had just admitted this was their mistake completely and the smell would most likely never leave the sweeper. His response was to ask me if the sweeper was still under the manufacturers warranty. I said I assumed so. He then said "well by getting creative I meant that I need to lie to the manufacturer and try to get them to replace your sweeper". I was actually shocked and did not say anything because I had two of my small children with me. I asked him what they planned on doing if the manufacturer would not replace the sweeper. He then said they would "super detail it to try to get the smell out". Again I was rather speechless. So if they could not get the manufacturer to replace the sweeper by lying about something they did, then they had no intention of replacing it, just cleaning it again after they had just said the smell would most likely not leave the sweeper. Not to mention the fact that I was down one sweeper for however long this process took. Again, for a sweeper one of their employees ruined. With six children and two dogs this is not an ideal solution for us. But it should not be acceptable in any situation. I left and as soon as I arrived home I called Oreck Corporate Customer Service and filed a complaint. I basically said to them everything I said in this review. They apologized but told me all of the Oreck stores are franchises. They did, however, tell me that my complaint would be forwarded to a supervisor and then to a district manager and someone would contact me to get this situation resolved. That was 5 days ago and I have yet to hear from anyone from Oreck Corporate or the store. There is no business scenario where any of this is acceptable. The unfortunate fact is that this type of attitude from the employee is usually caused from a trickle down effect from upper management and in this case most likely the franchise owner. Obviously integrity, honesty, and providing the most basic level of acceptable customer service is not in this franchise owner's or his store's playbook.
Very friendly, accommodating service. They took one look over my vacuum and knew what needed to be done. I left it with them for a few days and once I picked it up, it works perfectly again! VERY GRATEFUL!! I love my vacuum and didn't want to buy a new one. The tune-up/cleaning cost much less than if I would've had to buy a new vacuum.
My 22 year old Oreck died and took it here for service. Guy opened it while we waited and motor had seized up. He indicated it would probably cost 130.00 to repair unless there was more wrong with it. We opted to buy a new one and got a discount on the floor model which works fantastically.
The guys who work at the Sawmill Road Oreck store have been extremely friendly and helpful to me in handling a couple of issues with both Oreck and non-Oreck vacuums. I will hope to rely on this store in the future for more of the same.
Fast efficient service. And when I have had my vacuum cleaners serviced in the past, have been very happy with the results. So glad this store is still around. I prefer Orecks to any other vacuum cleaner.
We love the Oreck Store. They are so knowledgeable about all their products and can fix almost anything in a flash, if not a flash, then certainly as soon as possible. Always dependable and the even call you when they know it is time for service! They care.
I would rate it a zero if I could. The manager Corey who I guess is from the Polaris store refused to help me or listen to anything I had to say. I will never go back if I can help it. Unfortunately they are the only ones who fix vacuums in town.
I always am greeted by someone with a smile and good attitude. NEVER get high pressure to buy and they take care of my vacuum cleaner yearly and never try to upsell me
I was greeted as soon as I walked in the door. All I needed was bags for my machine and a salesman quickly retrieved what I needed and explained the discount options. I was in and out within 5 minutes.
