I have been here a few times and brought my daughter here as well and the customer service has always been great. The place always looks very clean and taken care of, however, I had an appointment there the other day and now I have pink eye. They need to be more thorough when cleaning their equipment and high touch areas. I'm still giving three stars because we always have a good experience at this location, but infection control needs to be a priority. The only reason I'm not going back and making them give me some medicine is because I have some eye drops from when my daughter had pink eye in the winter and they're not expired so I'm using those.
On 06/14 @ 10:30 we visited My Eye Doctor on BuHI Northeast Plaza for my daughter's annual check up and to choose new frames. This was our 3rd or 4th time visiting, but it will be our last and let me tell you why.... We had my 2 yr son with us that day. As any child at 2 he wanted to get on his feet and wonder around in the store. Since we did not let him do so, I started playing with him on the chairs and tickling him to keep him entertained. He was laughing loud and gave a scream once or twice, but it was that or letting him run around and me chasing after him. All this was happening while my daughter was inside with Dr. Allan Hymowits. 30 minutes later, they came out and my daughter was choosing some frames while I still kept my soon entertained in the kids area. After we paid and walked out the store, my daughter says to me I'm glad we are done here, I said why? She said "Dr. Hymowits was complaining about my brother been loud". I wished my daughter had told me this before I paid and just walked away. My son never touched anything or destroyed anything, yes maybe he was a bit loud but that was it. The second issue was that Simone staff told us that the frames my daughter picked would be ready for pickup in a week. Two weeks go by and they finally called us to say the frame was discontinued!!!! I asked her, why didn't they call us earlier? She said they didn't realized they were missing. For this and mainly for the previous reason, I asked for a full refund they can't refund to my card, they must send a check in the mail that will take 10 days to arrive will never go back to see Dr. Hymowits and will never refer no one there again.
about a month and half ago we had the the glasses frame for my son 8 and daughter 13 order the person who assist in the order and check out explained to us on that day that some was no going to be cover by the insurance so we paid extra $140 we left to wait for the glasses well my wife kept checking no order was ship yeah that's their answer ok when the order was finally in the store we go pickup and the frame and parts that we paid for are not the same ones this type of customer service be advice should not happen to anyone be aware.
