Awesome food and very cozy and peaceful spot to dine, read, people watch, work, spend time with friends and family. Great food for kids too! See pic.
Saturday 10/1/22 at 12:30PM - Latina barista girl at the register never took my order after I waited for about 5 minutes at the register. She walked by back and forth and even made eye contact. Somehow despite all this...she ignored me for some reason and never bothered to acknowledge me at the register. When a customer is waiting at the register of a coffee shop, it means they want to order something. I have been here a few times and the service has been average. With the abundance of coffee shops in the neighborhood, no need for me to return.
Best tofu scramble ever! Coffee is yummy, too. They often serve vegan cookies as well. Coffee is delish. Staff is welcoming and kind; service is excellent. Small place & no restrooms.
I wish they had more vegan items on their menu because their food is really high quality. I had the tofu scramble plate and the only reason I'm not giving it 5 stars is because besides the side salad seemed to overwhelm the actual tofu scramble, and the scramble itself was very oily but delicious otherwise. I think you could pull back on the oil and it would still taste just as good and probably even better, maybe use some Kala Namak. Wish you guys had gluten free AND vegan bread.
So happy I found this place and their amazing biscuits. The eggs are made perfect and there's just the right amount of bacon which is lot more than other places BECs.
I just love this little café on 7th Ave! My go to spot for delicious croissants and the most amazing soups, sandwiches, and wraps. Especially on these cold winter days! Not to mention their amazing staff, always so welcoming!! #comfortfood
This is one of the best breakfast sandwiches in Park Slope. Bacon, egg and cheese, on a homemade cheddar-jalapeno biscuit!
I just started working in this Spanish local cafe owned shop, less than 2months & I love it ! It’s a warm environment & welcoming . Various options even Vegan options!!! You can basically create or mix match your food from the menu. We have secret menus sometimes, where we have specials drinks of the day or meals . And of course we can accommodate your drinks & food . Very affordable and small cozy spot to enjoy your drink and while you work on your laptop !
What happened to this place? Second time I’ve been in a couple months and they don’t have the lunch meat for their signature sandwich. It’s so poorly run now and there seems to be little effort to keep up the general appearance. There are like 10 different menus on display and none of them are the current one. It’s January and they still have Halloween decor. I ordered coffee and bagels and after charging me they tell me they don’t have bagels or milk for the coffee. The woman running register clearly doesn’t want to be there. This used to be a neighborhood gem and all that seems lost at this point. There’s also no one else here anymore, shocked they’re able to stay open. The best thing this place has going for it is that it’s warm when it’s cold out. That’s about it as far as I can tell.
I basically live on their breakfast burritos. My current favorite is the El Presidente eggs, rice, beans, cheddar, sour cream, guacamole. I ask them to add chorizo to it to give it a little more heft. The burrito is big enough that I can divide it over two meals.
