New City Christian School

Our family has been at New City Christian School for 4 years. One of my favorite things about New City and the teachers and principal is that their main priority seems to be focusing on my children's gifts and abilities, rather than difficulties they may have. They hold a high regard for discipline, mind you, but the teachers and principal consistently strive to build them up to be who and all that God made them to be. As we have had end of the year conferences with each of my children's teachers, my husband and I can tell that the teachers have gotten to know my children so well and love them for everything that they are, not just when they have behaved well. One example of this... Our 1st-grade son had some difficulty with another student at school recently. I apologized to his teacher on my son's behalf and his teacher responded by saying "It was good for your son to have that interaction where he needed to find a solution to a problem". What a fantastic teacher. What a wonderful school!
