New East Side Nursing Home

It's a pretty good nursing home. I can't really complain. It's also close to public transportation.

I am very pleased with the quality of 24/7 care my 'other-mother', now at late stage Alzheimer's, is getting, at New East Side. The place is clean and well-run. The staff always greet me warmly. The nurses and aides are bustling around, busy. They answer my questions, and though I am not a family member, I am treated with kindness as well. Medications, housekeeping, patient activities, mealtime all move with precision - and genuine concern. Patients are given dignity, along with their baths and food. People are often reluctant to visit a place like this because, I suspect they are afraid in a way..it can seem like a preview of a possible 'future version' of themselves. But New East Side (formerly Home of the Sages) is doing an excellent job, caring for someone I dearly love.

U guys are short on staff but I could never say that my mother was not taken good care off ......the lady's that work there are very lovable ......there Joyce....Lindey.....Yvonne.....ms.jonhson .....and all the other lady I don't know there names they all great.......
