VillageCare Rehabilitation & Nursing Center

Village Care Rehab is for old people who fall and break a hip. Their facility is not equipped to handle people with serious medical conditions, especially cancer. The physical therapists are compassionate, good people. That’s the only positive about this place... The nurses are unfriendly, downright discourteous...they’re rude to patients and family. Also, the place is filthy. I have photos showing dirty diapers left on a shared shower chair all day. Filthy linens piled in the bathroom. Flies everywhere. Personal items such as a phone charger were taken from my father’s room. The staff not only screwed up meals, but screwed up medications multiple times. Upon my father’s arrival in October, 2017, a doctor briefly met him for a few minutes, but that was the last time a doctor was seen for the entire three weeks he was there. Maybe if the nurse practitioner took the stethoscope from around her neck and actually listened to my father’s lungs they would’ve realized he developed pneumonia while there, in addition to the blood clots he also developed there. They also neglected to see that my father was severely dehydrated and never once suggested IV fluids be administered. The Village Care Rehab failed my father on all levels. The place is so terrible that my he had to be admitted into the hospital where he died two weeks later. Avoid this place at all costs!

My experience at Village Care was an excellent one. The staff was there for me, never missed medication or meals. Called me by name and was always helpful, And I needed lots of ice while recuperating from knee replacement. They tried to keep you busy showing movies and having activities planned. I actually stayed longer than planned because my therapy was going well and Wanted to get ahead of the curb with OT/PT. My OT person Stephanie Piko would come every morning to pick me up and My PT person Mahi would do same every afternoon. They have a full working gym and rehabilitation center which covered all aspects of my recovery,. Because of all of this I went home with a new outlook knowing that I would be Ok going forward.

This place has the lowest key employees with 0-2 years experience compared to any other rehabilitation center in USA. The employees hardly speak or understand English. They have the worst attitude and arrogance. Patients get wrong medication and they don’t even get an apology from the staff. I spoke with 27 patients who were scared and complained that they get insulin injections without checking their sugar. I hope the nurses will be changed in this facility as soon as possible before they destroy more lifes.

I'm witness the services it's to bad My friend was there after her surgery They where nasty, they treat my friend with attitude. My friend calling them for help the nurse came after 3 hours . Nobody give her the anti coagulante for 2 days . They never call 911 to help her. Thanks God my friend have with her s cell phone and call 911. I hear the nurse treat her very bad ! Don't bring your family there!
