The campground is really nice. We had a nice level spot, however the spot is above the road and there is a bit of a dip that made it difficult to negotiate backing in with a trailer. A few other campsites have the same issue and we watched more than one motorhome unable to negotiate the change of elevation. Most sites did not have this issue. We had a nice size patio and a picnic table, trees on both sides, and grass. Each shower is a private shower room; there are sinks in the toilet rooms. The laundry has 6 washers and 6 dryers; washer is $1.25 and $.75 for dryer, also very clean. The campground offers a free shuttle into New Orleans every day, and will pick you up. There are train tracks nearby, but the train is not obnoxious. The airport is nearby, but they don’t generally fly over the campground. Depending on the runway they use you either hear the planes or not at all. The staff is wonderful, professional, and helpful. We would definitely stay again.

Really great KOA people. Thought I lost my keys and Nicholle was very helpful with finding number to call in case they were lost on street car ride. They were found stuck between seat of my car! Also Mike did his best to find us a good spot for 2 nights. Only complaint is shower stalls are tight on space and the train is way noisy. Very pleasant area and fun visiting New Orleans for first time. Thanks y'all!! 😄 (We're from Denver)

Well-maintained campground with nice-sized sites. Friendly, helpful staff. If you're looking for a place to stay while you explore New Orleans, this is a very good place to stay. However, if you're looking for a true camping experience, look elsewhere. There are no fire rings; trains run right behind the campground multiple times during the day and night, blowing their whistle for multiple crossings; the campground is under an airport flight path; and there are so many street lights that it's like trying to sleep in Times Square.

Stayed for 3 nights. The campgrounds were neat and comfortable. The pool was well maintained and the staff was very helpful with advise on things to do and even helped when we had a problem with our awning.
