A great place for a concert. As a part of a large group who performs here every year, I was happy with the amenities provided. There is enough space for pretty large group to prepare backstage. The stage hands were all very courteous and great at their jobs. As a spectator, the theater is in great shape with good acoustics and modernized seats. The lobby area is beautiful, and it's fun to get there a little early and sit in one of the balcony seats overlooking the lobby that have their own little tables. There are a few private parking garages within a block that meet the need for large groups' parking.. but getting out of those parking garages at the end of the performance can be a long tiresome task.
Awesome Theater! Really nice interior, staff are incredibly friendly and helpful. The seating is really well done - you can see the stage easily from anywhere. Comfy seats. Nice sound.
Spent an evening watching Jake Shimabukuro here. Just outside the theater there is a nice social/waiting area with a bar with minimal consessions and area for artist merchandise sales. Once inside our seats on 1st level Balcony were comfortable and the view was great.
I really enjoyed how clean and classy the establishment looked and felt. The spiral staircases are very fascinating and visually pleasing... As well as a unique experience to go up and down because of the tapered with of each step depending on where you are on the staircase. My only complaint is the size of the seats in the back because of how tight it is but I do understand but I get what I pay for. Despite my understanding of that, it was still a little tight of a squeeze as well as avoiding making contact with my neighbors with usage of the armrest. I was still consider going back here depending on who the guest is. I never really purchased any of the consumables so I don't have any experience on that front at this time of review.
Saw the firebird ballet here after getting tickets through work. I can appreciate ballet, but I don't see myself seeing one again anytime soon unless I know the story since ballet requires the viewer to interpret the motions and movements. The music was fantastic and props to all the ballet dancers who put in tears and sweat to master their craft. Take my review with. A grain of salt.
We went on a field trip to see Dragons Love Tacos. The play was very entertaining. The theater is so beautiful. If you go, don't forget to look straight up at the ceiling. Seating is comfortable. We were the front row of the balcony, which was a bit intimidating at that height. We also couldn't see the full stage leaning back in our seats. The children specifically had to sit on the edge of their seats. I will definitely consider going to other productions at Newmark Theater with my family.
This was my second time visiting this theatre and it was huge and beautiful inside! All the staff was super friendly! This play they were showing the show Percy Jackson.
Great little theater. Went to see Jimmy Carr there and it was nice. Had never heard of it until the show and was surprised how nice and big it was. The staff were nice and helpful. The seats were comfy. Would definitely come back
The building brings back memories of when my father used to finish metal. My friend and I got the whole building to ourselves as he shined up all of the metal. Now, I get to take my family to watch plays and share the same story over and over again.
Beautiful building, great location and easy to find! Multiple affordable parking garages within walking distance. Comfortable/spacious seating. Bathrooms near exits, friendly event staff. Very pleased with our experience.
