Welcome to Norfolk Virginia where just being an adult walking down the street is enough to get you escorted in the back of a police car. Great detective work having 3 cops work a jaywalking case at 3 am what a sham.

When I called in an emergency Sunday, the “cop” that answered would not put me through to an actual dispatch. She just put me and my sister on hold. I was extremely concerned for a young family member’s safety and this woman, who called herself a “cop” actually made fun of me while I was extremely scared and frustrated. I am in another state so simply calling 911 would not work (I tried). She did finally take information from me but jokingly kept interrupting me and saying “hurry” “times wasting”. I was asking for a wellness check for someone who was extremely suicidal, 2 members of my family have comitteed suicide, so I was taking this very seriously. She took my phone number and no one from Virgina police ever called me back. This was a total disgrace. Police are suppose to be helpful. If my family member would have actually been dead or hurt, they did not do anything. I had to drive 12 hours to find out what happened. I have a nursing baby and had to leave him because this ignorant dispatcher. She should not be a dispatcher and I really don’t think she should be working with the public in any way. It was a complete disgrace.

The ugly lady and racist man who were scared to say their names they answered the phone on Monday morning march 19 were abusive snd Raciest. Stop wasting my tax money on abusive unprofessional things. We citizens know our rights. The chicken head lady needs to be fired she is so stupid.

These people dont have jesus in their life, as soon u call them they answer the phone with attitude, (it was a lady )then when u address a issue they always transfer u to a different department like they need to be policed, at the beginning of a bad day ( the only reason why i would be calling in the first place) they sure know how to make u feel like they trustworthy people . To Virginia police department thanks for the attitude and explaining things to me like a wasnt a police officer, the Secretary is a example of that police department . I hope ya read this message have a diffrent approach to people have a bless day

Lost a foreign Passport and needed to file a police report. We visited two two other precincts to no avail but Officer Rivera took the time to take care of our consulate request. Very professional, courteous and patient.
