Virginia Beach Police Department HQ

I was very reluctant to call police services due to myself thinking I was just overreacting. I unfortunately was very shook up by the time the two officers arrived to my house so I did not get their names, but I am so grateful for them! They came immediately, while a WONDERFUL 911 operater stayed on the phone with me, helping me calm down. As someone with severe anxiety and paranoia I was terrified that someone was in my property’s yard when I was home alone very late. The officers were nothing but nice, understanding, and reassuring. They didn’t make me feel like I overreacted, they came and checked everything out for me and even sat a patrol car on my street for a couple hours after. I am grateful that these 2 wonderful officers are looking after our city and feel safe knowing that’s the type of officers we have here in our city!

I love Virginia Beach Police. They have lots of people and lots of IMPORTANT issues to take care and put their lives on the line for us every day. Thank you for all you do and I'm sorry you have to put up with people like the ones who review here. Perhaps they should look at themselves.

I would give a even lower rating if possible. I agree with Rachel Moody about the police telling me that they cannot help me with an issue because they did not consider it a police matter, but a civil matter. I was told by several civil lawyers that my matter was a matter the police could help me with. I talked to several police officers on the phone and via email. I got one email from one detective and then when I asked a question back he blew me off. I complained to internal affairs and got a rude sergeant that said they cannot help me because it was a legal matter and rushed me off the phone. I am so upset. Someone scammed me and has my car and I am told that I cannot get help from the police because I allowed the people to have the car in the first place. I only allowed them to have the car if they paid for it. They did not pay for it and are now hiding out somewhere with my car and I cannot find them and the police will not help me. They are rude and disrespectful or ignore me. I don't even know why I listened to all the people that told me to call them to help me in the first place. I knew they would not take it seriously. All I got was made to feel like I was stupid. I was scammed. I was told to call the police and then I get this.

Look at the Google review rating ... SAYS IT ALL.... TOLD ME I COULD COME pick up my property and they close at 4 p.m. and I arrive and they told me they close early at 12 on a Friday after I spoke to them on the phone at 10 and they told me they were open till 4 what a joke just shows the intelligence of the people serving your community
