When we called 911, because my mother needed medical attention, a crew of very able and compassionate people showed up.  But the one person who stood out was Officer Doug Peyer.  I was deeply impressed by his calm, reassuring demeanor, but most of all by his gentle kindness.  My mother responded very well to him and settled down.  In fact, I learned so much from him that I will know better how to deal with my mom should there ever be a similar episode.  Officer Peyer, in my opinion, should be highly commended for his professional, and above all, humanitarian conduct in our community.  May God bless him.  Sincerely, Scila Hudson

The 3rd Precinct hosted a Wolf Den from Bayside Pack 364 last week. They were really friendly and helpful, and showed the boys all-around the station including the police cars. The kids really enjoyed themselves. Great bunch of guys - Thanks!!!
